STRYPER is a bunch of Satanic cross-dressing God-haters... and I'm fully convinced, homosexuals as well. Urban Dictionary.com defines Stryper as ... An ambiguously homosexual hair-metal band who, while adorned in black and yellow-striped leather, acted as a marketing ploy for Christianity primarily throughout the 1980's.
Do these abominable cross-dressers look like Christian men to you?
We are living in perilous times of woeful apostasy. Never before have we witnessed so many so-called "Christians" who live like the sinful world, look like the sinful world, talk like the sinful world, and fraternize with the sinful world. DISCIPLE is no exception. DISCIPLE is one of the most popular and successful bands in the world today; yet, they are phonies and should be avoided by all Christ-honoring Christians.

With long womanish hair, earrings, mascara, lip-gloss, eye shadow and effeminate clothes, Stryper demolished any convictions left in Christian music! How Christians tolerate such ungodly behavior is frightening! And despite the Bible's clear warnings! 1 Corinthians 6:9 says ". . . Be not deceived: neither fornicators, . . . NOR EFFEMINATE, . . . shall inherit the kingdom of God." The demonic creatures from the bottomless pit in Revelation 9:8 are described as "their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as THE HAIR OF WOMEN. . ."! But what's the Bible got to do with it. . .
Stryper are not exactly "good little Christian boys." In 1989 Stryper toured with secular rockers White Lion. Drummer, Greg D Angelo, says, "We threw a party . . . About two in the morning ROBERT SWEET WAS WHACKED! DRUNK! He was being dragged around on his tiptoes by two women holding him up!" (RIP, June, 1989, p.41)Stryper also toured with the perverted secular group WASP (whose name stands for We Are Sex Perverts). WASP singer Blackie Lawless drinks blood on stage in a human skull. WASP spreads their Satanic message, as they tell young people the vicious lie that Lucifer loves them much they're drunk on his love and magic, in "Sleeping in the Fire"...

Bass player Steve Gaines says , " . . . we NEVER wanted to get caught up in the whole Christian music scene in the first place. . ." (Inside Music, Oct/Nov 90 p.16) Robert Sweet confesses, " . . . we're about the MOST UNRELIGIOUS Christian band you could imagine. . ."(Hit Parader, Nov. 1986, p.21) And according to lead singer, Michael Sweet, "We don't consider ourselves to be overly religious. . .In fact, religion has NOTHING to do with what Stryper's all about" (Hit Parader, Feb. 1987, p.41)
Stryper guitarist Oz Fox's real name is Richard Martinez. Why does Richard use the name Oz Fox? Because of an obsession with Satanic rocker OZZY OSBOURNE! In fact, on their Reason for the Season album, Stryper's guitarist is listed as "OZZIE" Fox!
The name Stryper supposedly comes from Isaiah 53:5 (with his STRIPES we are healed), but in Youth magazine, Stryper guitarist Oz Fox tells the real reason: "One day Robert came up with Stryper because it rhymed with hyper . . ." (Youth, Jan. 1987, p.10) It has nothing to do with Isaiah 53! They admittedly didn't t make the connection to Isaiah 53 till somebody showed them!
Stryper wears the number "777" supposedly depicting the Biblical number of perfection; But "777" is highly esteemed in witchcraft and Satanism! Satanist Aleister Crowley wrote a book titled "Liber 777". The Satanic group Danzig (see our tract Rock Music: The Devils Advocate) has a song titled "777." The Treasury of Witchcraft says of the number seven: "this number, in occult rites, possessed mystic implications . . . POWERFUL: TRIPLE REPETITION is characteristic of magic ritual." (Treasury of Witchcraft, p.23)
Devil's Livery

(Treasury of Witchcraft, Wedeck, p.111)On a poster, dated August 12, 1982, for the band Roxx Regime, with Michael and Robert Sweet, "777"'s are displayed in the corners! And they're called the "yellow and black attack" — same as Stryper.
But their conversion to Christ took place in 1983 — a year later! But they're displaying the "777"'s and "yellow and black" the year before they're saved!
Stryper's unique triangle logo (with a curved bottom, outline around the edge and rays emitting) on the cover of "In God We Trust" is nearly an exact copy of Satanist Aleister Crowley's infamous triangle! Could the Holy Spirit of the Bible possibly be the one inspiring these Christian Rock stars to copy satanic symbols! Not once. . . but over and over and over!

One has to wonder, with all the "Satanic" references to Stryper's music, what are they really saying in "To Hell with Devil"? Are they actually singing for the listener to go "To Hell WITH the Devil"? Jeff Godwin says in his book, "Dancing with Demons" (p. 274):
"Almost everyone assumes that 'To Hell With the Devil' means that Satan can go back where he came from. The meaning changes drastically, though, when read with the emphasis on a different word: 'To Hell WITH The Devil.' Used this way, the phrase shows that fans are being dragged to Hell along WITH the devil..."And what about the cover on "The Hell With the Devil"? Why are the winged-members of Stryper wearing a Satanic Pentagram and throwing someone into Hell? It is NO coincident that the creatures coming out from Hell in Revelation 9:7-8 is described as, "their faces were as the faces of men. And they had HAIR as the hair of women".
Robert Sweet makes a startling admission to the truth about rock music in RIP magazine:
Did you read that? "...walk the OPPOSITE DIRECTION from Christianity,...AND GOD SAYS NOT TO DO IT..." These Christian rock stars (if they're really saved) KNOW deep down in their heart that rock music IS NOT HONORING THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! And that's why they will not mention Him! Instead they talk about "values", "self-esteem", etc. But values, self-esteem — won't keep you out of hell!"As a matter of fact, the band was one thing that was making us turn and walk the OPPOSITE DIRECTION from Christianity, because, let's face it, when you're out there playing rock 'n' roll, and you're having a real good time doing your own thing it's not that you hate God or anything — you just don't want to think about Christ, because what he does is he exposes a lifestyle. If you're doing something you like doing, AND GOD SAYS NOT TO DO IT then you're not going to pay attention."

Tim Gaines of Stryper said in HM (Heavy Metal) magazine:
"From the end of 1988 'till February of this year, I was drunk every day." (HM, Mar/Apr 97 #64, p.47 emphasis added).1988 Stryper was going strong! Stryper didn't disband until 1991! For the last three years, performing before young people as supposedly a "Christian" testimony — Tim Gaines was drunk!
Michael Sweet says of Gaines drinking:
"I knew that he had a drinking problem. For a while there we all did, we were all drinking. . . He never did in public and we never did till the against the law tour. I don't know if you know a whole lot about that, but...that was kind of the rebellious tour, a rebellious record and we kind of vented a lot out of our systems on that record for the bad and we all did some drinking and there are some things that happened that were the exact opposite of what we always stood for. Oz Fox of Stryper says:
"To be honest, Stryper wasn't what we should have been spiritually speaking. . . . I don't believe that the band as a whole was rooted like we should have been, . . . To me, there was sin happening in the band, and it shouldn't have been happening. And the reason why it was happening is because we didn't know the Lord like we should have." (HM, Mar/Apr 97 #64, p.49).How many other CCMer's are leading a "double-life"? How many Sandi Patti's and Stryper's are in CCM?
The following is one of the most irresponsible, wicked, unChristian, attitudes that I have EVER read:
During one of Stryper's "Christian" concert tours, they hired the "secular" group White Lion as the opening act. During some of the concerts White Lion openly used filthy, vulgar profanity from the stage. At one concert White Lion even threw out filthy pornographic magazines into the "Christian" audience. When the interviewer asked Michael Sweet how "did you guys deal with those things when it happened" — Sweet unbelievably replied:Incredible. . . Here's a "ton" of Christian young people that came to hear "Christian" rockers, Stryper — and White Lion is using filthy, vulgar language and throwing pornography into the young Christian audience and Stryper doesn't have enough conviction and backbone to even tell them to stop because — that would be judging them! What a wicked, ungodly, filthy, unChristian mess! And that's the RIGHT adjectives!"We felt that we couldn't judge any other group. When are God's people going wake up!
THIS MUSIC IS NOT OF GOD!
If it is, we might as well throw the Bible in the garbage can — because most of it goes against EVERYTHING the Word of God says!
You parents beware when you send your Christian young people to that "Christian Rock" concert!
And people ask me — would you rather "Christian" young people go hear Stryper or Marilyn Manson — when you've got a secular group "spewing" forth vulgarity and tossing pornography to the young people — there's not much difference! And a so-called Christian group will not even ask them to stop!

It's interesting to note that lead singer, Kevin Young, of the Christian Rock band DISCIPLE, states...
I grew up in the late 80's listening to bands like Petra and Whitecross. I attended many of their concerts in my earlier days, and they made such an impact on my life spiritually... I was influenced by the Christian Rock of the time period like Petra, Whitecross, Bride, Guardian, and of course Stryper. (emphasis added)
STRYPER? Kevin Young admits to being largely influenced by the godless music of STRYPER! To no surprise, here's one of DISCIPLE's Satanic album covers...
Carefully notice the upside down cross, and the sideways cross, in the DISCIPLE album cover below.
Jesus said in John 15:19, "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." Stryper is extremely popular these days with the carnal world. The Word of God should be our Final Authority, not music. God says to separate from worldly believers. The Bible tells us to divide over truth, rather than be united by error.
There's nothing in the Bible about winning people to Christ through music. Romans 1:16 declares that it is the GOSPEL which is the "power of God unto salvation." Tragically, Stryper is so busy singing their worldly music that they don't have time to preach the Gospel. Jesus never sang the Gospel. None of the disciples were commissioned to have a musical ministry. If there is to be any genuine unity within the Body of Christ, then it must be Biblically based. The Word of God teaches separation!
Conclusion
Stryper's members are wolves in sheep's clothing, who masquerade as Christians; but are certainly not. Their album covers are saturated with occult symbols. Notice the illuminati (New Age) pyramid on their album cover to the left. Those hands reaching out from under the pyramid are Lucifer's. The Bible reveals that Satan is the god of this sinful world (2nd Corinthians 4:4). Satan is a master deceiver and usually appears in some form of outward righteousness (2nd Corinthians 11:13-14).
We are warned to try (i.e., test) the spirits in 1st John 4:1... "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." STRYPER permeates with a demonic spirit of homosexuality, rebellion, immoral sex, occultism, and many other sins. STRYPER is of the Devil and their works of darkness will be burned up when the Lord returns. For now, we must expose their works of evil, i.e., their music (Ephesians 5:11).
Something is very wrong with a man who wants to appear as a woman. The Bible condemns this abomination in Deuteronomy 22:5, "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God." Why would any professed group of Christian men want to appear as homosexuals? From the preceding self-incriminating statements from the band members themselves—openly admitting that their music has nothing to do with God.
Please realize that I don't condemn anyone, for the Bible condemns all of us as guilty, dirty, rotten, hell-deserving sinners. My salvation solely rests in Christ's righteousness, because of the precious blood that He gave for our sins. My intention is not to be unkind; but rather, to expose the demonic nature of so-called "Christian rock," and also to expose Stryper as a bad influence for Christian teenagers to follow.
