There is NO such thing as "Christian rock" music.
All rock music is of the Devil. Very few listeners of Christian rock
music are willing to honestly admit that rock music originated with Satanism
and the occult. It is no coincidence that many earlier Christian bands
idolized
Aleister Crowley (a known Satanist) and Anton LaVey (founder of the Church
of Satan).
The Beatles even placed Aleister Crowley's photo on their Sgt. Pepper's album cover. The Eagles placed Anton LaVey's photo inside their Hotel California album cover. It's interesting that the Devil's secular rock music came out first, and then in the years to come "Christian rock" became popular. Who's kidding who? Christian rock is nothing less than carnal believers (if they're believers at all) trying to JUSTIFY listening to and performing the Devil's music.
By the way, I would definitely
include much of today's country music in the rock category as well.

The Sin Nature Always Attempts to Justify Sin
Should it be surprising that the homosexuals are also trying to justify their homosexuality with the Bible, twisting the Truth around to their fancy (Romans 1:25)? Even the abortion crowd has concocted their own "feminist spirituality" (.PDF file) that tries to JUSTIFY having abortions. Abortion is also rooted in the occult. Although a poor mother getting an abortion would never considered herself a willing participant to an occult ritual, the demon inspired occult people that promote feminism and legalize abortion at the highest levels ARE occultists. I have received numerous letters from Wiccan witches, telling me that Jesus taught love, and that I have no right to expose Wicca is a false religion. Some witches have even sent me Scriptural references, attempting to justify their witchcraft, claiming that the witchcraft condemned in 1st Samuel 15:23 is not the same as Wiccan witchcraft. Man's untamable sin nature causes him to attempt to JUSTIFY his sins by REDEFINING the truth! This is exactly what Satan did with Eve, and with Jesus ... the Devil perverted the Truth of God's Word into a lie. Eve believed the lie, Jesus did not!
When we put all these things together, it becomes so OBVIOUS what Satan is trying to do. Can you imagine a Bible that teaches that it's ok to murder your baby, be a homosexuality, practice witchcraft, and listen to Devilish music? This is the exact type of crazy thinking the Devil's crowd wants us to accept. It won't happen! The carnal man desires to live in sin without any guilt. The only way to accomplish this is to REDEFINE the Truth of God's Word. God has placed a curse upon those who ADD or DIMINISH His Word (Deuteronomy 4:2; 2nd Peter 3:16; and Revelation 22:19).
Rock Music is Addicting
It is often difficult to convince the CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) gang that ALL rock music is sinful. The reason is simply because they are carnal and have no desire to obey the Word of God. They claim to want God, and to do His will; but, they only obey the Scriptures that are convenient for them. Rock music is addicting to the nervous system, more addictive than heroine. I recall back in the 1980's, seeing people with t-shirts that read, "I grew up on rock-n-roll." That's no joke! When a child grows up listening to certain music, it becomes a friend that sticks with them for life. Music often can trigger memories, which can make us sad, happy, etc.
Young people are prone to rebellion, as every generation must rediscover the truth for itself. You can give the truth to the next generation; but, it's up to them to accept it or reject it. Tragically, most youngsters reject the truth of God's Word because of sinful pride and love for sin (John 3:20). Thus, most young people feel much more accepted and comfortable with rock-n-roll music, performers, and philosophies. Rock music greatly appeals to the sinful flesh, and once you've become addicted to the power of rock-n-roll, it is next to impossible to break free!
But thanks be to God, we can escape the pollutions of the flesh through Jesus Christ, "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning" (2nd Peter 2:20). Rock music is a pollution of the world, and every believer who names the name of Jesus Christ should depart from it. It may be beautiful; BUT, so is the scorpion fish in the sea, which is deadly if you get stung. When you swim in the sea, if it's pretty ... don't touch it! Rock music is a spiritually deadly creature which should be avoided.
The Bible Never Promotes Music Concerts
Ephesians 5:19 states, "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." Notice that Biblical music is TO THE LORD; not, to the marketable audience. Colossians 3:16 reads, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Again, we read the words TO THE LORD. Our music should be to the Lord; not, to make money. Also, carefully notice that both of these Scriptures were spoken by the Apostle Paul to THE CHURCH.
There is nothing in the Bible about having music CONCERTS, and charging admission to get it. Every time that the early Christians publicly gathered, it was for the preaching of the GOSPEL, and no one was ever charged any money. Isn't it interesting that no mention is ever made of the Apostles or anyone singing at Pentecost? Could it be that we have turned music into a religion by itself? Yes, I believe that is exactly what many people have done.
Some people have to have music playing at all times or else they feel empty. Psalm 46:10 states, "Be still, and know that I am God..." CCM music in many cases actually inoculates people from walking with God, spending time in the Bible, and going soulwinning. The same is true of "Christian" books, radio, TV, magazines, newspapers, etc. Nothing should take us away from studying and reading the Word of God Itself!
What's Wrong with the Music Itself?
The sinful flesh loves rock-n-roll music because it is fleshly and carnal. I receive quite a few letters from young people, asking me why the music itself is bad? That's like asking what's wrong with eating at a Hooter's restaurant. In case you don't know, Hooter's is a restaurant chain where all female employees must wear extremely tight and revealing clothing to seduce the customers. Now, there's nothing wrong with eating in a restaurant; BUT, there is something VERY WRONG with eating at Hooter's (Matthew 5:28).
Rocker Frank Zappa (who discovered the awful truth December 4, 1993 the second he died) proudly boasted:
“Rock music is sex. The beat matches the body rhythms.” (Frank Zappa, superstar of 'Mothers of Invention' fame.)
Ozzy Osbourne admits that he's been sued by around 25 parents, who's teens committed suicide while listening to Ozzy's rock music. Ozzy Osbourne was found NOT guilty in court, on the basis of his First Amendment rights to free speech. But, I heard Ozzy say something very interesting concerning his music. He stated, "My music doesn't make people crazy, it just gives crazy people a vehicle to ride on." Did you get that ... a vehicle to ride on! Listen young person, rock music is a VEHICLE, a Satanic vehicle. It doesn't matter what the words are, just as it doesn't matter what foods are on the menu at Hooter's.
Religious Rock Exists; BUT, Not
Christian Rock
Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this sin-cursed world. The Word of God NEVER promotes religion; BUT, instead, the Truth! Jesus Christ is the Truth (John 14:6)! God's Word is Truth (John 17:17)! Religion is man's way; BUT, the Bible is God's way. There is not a religion on the planet which does not teach some type of tradition not found in the Bible. That's not to say that some religions do not preach the Truth of God's Word. I'm just saying that even the best of religions are still man's way, and cannot bring salvation.
Religion never saved anyone, and never will. I hate that old song, Give Me That Old Time Religion. There's a stanza in the song which states, "It will take us all to Heaven" No it won't! Religion will take you straight to Hell damnation for all eternity! You'd better believe on Jesus Christ, not religion. Jesus has the nail-scared hands and feet, not religion or the minister.
Christian rock is a misnomer, and does not exist at all. There is nothing even remotely "Christian" about rock music. ALL rock music is Devilish! There is plenty of religious rock music in the world today; BUT, it is a shallow type of phony Christianity, which never preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ, or takes a stand against sin and evil.
