Beware of SoundChristian.com
By David J. Stewart
1st Timothy4:1, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”
I found another website today called “SoundChristian.com” that teaches heresy. They call Pastor Texe Marrs a bad apple for exposing the Zionism behind countless evils today. Texe Marrs is correct! I agree with Texe on just about everything he teaches. The folks at SoundChristian.com aren't too sound. The SoundChristian.com website teaches the damnable heresy of Lordship Salvation. Here's a quote from their website...
1. Admit your need (I am a sinner).
2. Be willing to turn from your sins (stop harmful activities in your life — repent).SOURCE: Questions and Answers about God
Does the Bible require people to stop harmful activities in their life to be saved? No, not at all. SoundChristian.com is NOT sound at all, corrupting what it really means to repent. If a person has to stop harmful activities to be saved, then that's self-righteousness. The gospel is under attack these days like never before. Everybody is coming out with a new gospel every day... a new ministry... a new book... a new website... a new Jesus... et cetera.
The Bible DOES require repentance to be saved, but Biblical repentance does not mean to stop harmful activates.
Here's What Repentance Means!!!
Romans 4:5 declares that God saves THE UNGODLY. God only saves BAD people. I am sick and tired of heretics like John MacArthur, Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron and Paul Washer perverting the simplicity that is in Christ. Eternal life is a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23). You don't earn or merit salvation. It is God's gift to undeserving sinners. Eternal life is received, not achieved. Jesus died, was buried, and rose again to pay our sin debt with His precious blood (1st Peter 1:18-19; 1st Corinthians 15:1-4). You simply come as a guilty SINNER and you trust upon the SAVIOR.
The notion that a sinner must stop harmful activities to be saved is a doctrine of devils. That is Calvinistic trash. Lordship Salvation is of the Devil. You don't give up anything to be saved; Christ gave all for you. God in His unconditional love sent His only begotten Son into the world to pay for our sins (John 3:16-18; 20:31). The false doctrine that a person must stop harmful activities (like smoking cigarettes, sexual immorality or drinking booze) to be saved is self-righteousness.
A changed life is the FRUIT of genuine repentance, and NOT a part of the ROOT of saving-faith. The root of the plant grows first into a tree, and then the fruit comes later on. Likewise, you don't live right to GET saved; but rather, because you ARE saved. A new convert cannot forsake all sinful bad habits anymore than a baby can run a marathon. The Bible teaches in 1st Peter 2:2 that a new believer grows daily in the milk of the Word.
Jesus Christ saved us so we wouldn't live like that anymore; but Christ did not require us to stop living like that to be saved (because eternal life is a free gift provided freely through Christ's work of redemption). If a person genuinely gets saved and then chooses not to live for God, that is their freedom (but not right) to do so. Romans 3:31, “Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.” The Christian is no longer under the curse of God's Law; but rather, under the grace of God's promise, safe in Jesus Christ. No believer has God's permission to sin, but whether we choose to surrender to God's will for our life or not has nothing to do with salvation.
Get it into your mind my friend that eternal life is a free gift. You don't earn it. You don't deserve it. You don't forsake sinful habits to have it. You don't stop harmful activities to be saved. No, that's all a road to Hell. The Bible says that you simply trust upon the name of the Lord to be saved (Romans 10:13). Acts 10:43, “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”
