The False Gospel Of Charlie And Erika Kirk
by David J. Stewart | September 2025
Mark 7:7-9, “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.”
Before I say anything about Charlie Kirk (1993-2025), I'd like to mention that I love what Charlie stood for—decency and faith in Jesus Christ. I watched numerous of his college campus debates on YouTube over the years and appreciated his work.
That being said, Charlie and Erika preached another gospel that cannot produce the required new birth to enter into God's Kingdom.
“The most important thing you can do in your life is give your life to Christ and make Christ known. The second most important thing is to make sure you can do the first thing.” —Charlie Kirk, University Of North Texas (2025)
I love what the young woman utters at the end of the clip, “This is NOT the Gospel!” Kudos to that young lady! Even though she also doesn't know what the Gospel is as an unsaved Roman Catholic, she still spoke the truth!
Charlie does properly use the Old Testament law (i.e., Ten Commandments) to shew people their lost sinful condition (Romans 3:19-20). That is the problem; we are all guilty hell-deserving sinners. Unfortunately, Kirk goes horribly astray for the solution. Instead of using the law as a tool to bring lost sinners to faith in Christ (Galatians 3:24-26), he is foolishly leading them to give their life to Christ (which is works, not grace). Dear friend, you cannot get to Heaven by giving your life to Christ. That is false religion, not Christianity! Jesus Christ gave His life for you on the cross, and that is enough to save even the worst sinner if you'll simply receive His sacrifice on the cross as full payment for your sins.
Charlie Kirk further states...
“We need Christ to come into our life. We need to repent. We need to get down on our hands and knees and say: 'Jesus, come into my life.'” —Charlie Kirk, University Of North Texas (2025)
Dear reader, that is NOT God's simple plan of salvation. You cannot show me one passage of Scripture that teaches to pray for Jesus to come into your life to be saved. Despite being a hellbound lost sinner herself, deceived by the demonic cult of Roman Catholicism, that young college girl is absolutely correct that what Charlie Kirk preaches is not the Gospel.
Charlie Kirk made these horrifying comments in a recent interview...
“If your Christianity is nothing more than an insurance plan for the afterlife—that is not a conversion—that is not legitimate Christianity. If you're like, 'Hey, I went on Easter, I raised my hand—just in case the Christian thing is right—I'm going to Heaven because I did the thing; I signed the paper. That is an insult to God. ...it's you acting as if God is there like Blue Cross and Blue Shield in case you have a broken leg.” —Charlie Kirk, YouTube video titled: 'Charlie Kirk STUNS hosts on Jesus Christ and the True Gospel'
In the preceding quote, Charlie is clearly implying that you cannot just raise your hand in response to a Gospel invitation to be saved. He clearly implies that more than faith is required to get to Heaven. Dear reader, there is absolutely nothing wrong, unbiblical or illegitimate about trusting the GOOD NEWS of Christ crucified, buried and risen to escape the fires of Hell. That is why most people get saved, but Charlie Kirk foolishly says you aren't saved if that's the only reason you trusted Christ.
The following video interview is alarmingly full of damnable heresy. The video is officially sanctioned and promoted by Turning Point USA on their YouTube channel. In the interview of Pastor Allen Jackson by Charlie Kirk, Charlie Kirk agrees with his works-based plan of salvation...
“We think we get our card for Heaven and we can live like the Devil. I'm convinced that Hell will be filled with people who have those cards. We're going to have to change who we are. We'll be judged by the impact we have on the world that we live in, not by the fact that we walked the aisle of a church and recited the Sinner's Prayer.” —Pastor Allen Jackson, YouTube video titled: 'The False Gospel That Keeps Christians from Voting | Pastor Allen Jackson & Charlie Kirk'
That is a blatant works-based counterfeit plan of salvation. At no point before, during or after Pastor Jackson's false gospel does Charlie Kirk ever correct him. Clearly, Kirk agrees with his dangerous ideas about works for salvation. Dear reader, that is simply NOT how you get to Heaven. Charlie Kirk is no friend to lost sinners. It is obvious that Pastor Allen Jackson is not saved. And in my humble opinion neither is Charlie Kirk or his blatantly Catholic wife.
I have serious doubts about Charlie's salvation. You must keep in mind that every hellbound follower of Roman Catholicism, Mormonism, the Church of Christ, Lutherans, Seventh-Day Adventists, Jehovah's Witnesses and Calvinists—all agree with Charlie's vague and lame theology. They've all given their life to Christ. They're all trying to turn from their evil ways (works according to Jonah 3:10). What Charlie preached was simply NOT a free grace Gospel, and Jesus said that a man speaks out of the abundance of his heart (Matthew 12:34).The following disturbing comments by Erika Kirk plainly show that she is NOT a born again Christian. ...
Charlie Kirk’s widow has said she wants to let the government decide whether her husband’s accused killer will receive the death penalty, and that she does not want his blood on her “ledger.”
Tyler Robinson was formally charged with aggravated murder last week after Kirk, 31, was assassinated on Sept. 10 on the college campus of Utah Valley University in Orem.
Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray announced the formal charges against 22-year-old Robinson at a press conference last Tuesday and said he would be seeking the death penalty in the case.
Erika Kirk, a devout evangelical Christian, said that she believed her husband’s death was part of “God’s plan.”
“I’ve had so many people ask, ‘Do you feel anger toward this man? Like, do you want to seek the death penalty?’” she told The New York Times.
Charlie Kirk’s widow has said she wants to let the government decide whether her husband’s accused killer will receive the death penalty.
Charlie Kirk’s widow has said she wants to let the government decide whether her husband’s accused killer will receive the death penalty (Instagram).
“I’ll be honest,” she continued. “I told our lawyer, I want the government to decide this. I do not want that man’s blood on my ledger.”
The 36-year-old mother to Kirk’s two young children said she believes that if she did push for the death penalty, it could stop her from being with her late husband in heaven.
“Because when I get to heaven, and Jesus is like: ‘Uh, eye for an eye? Is that how we do it?’” she told the outlet. “And that keeps me from being in heaven, from being with Charlie?” [emphasis added]That is so ridiculous what she said! The inspired Holy Bible teaches Capital Punishment (Genesis 9:5-6). Why in the world would God deny Erika entrance into Heaven for supporting Capital Punishment for an admitted cold-blooded murderer? She is very wrong in her thinking.
Ironically, it is her corrupt understanding of God's simple plan of salvation that will keep her out of Heaven. The fact that Erika thinks her behavior can keep her out of Heaven means that she is foolishly trusting in works to be saved. This is the errors of Roman Catholicism, which she was raised to believe. ...
“On a recent episode of his Podcast, Kirk, an evangelical Christian who recently spoke about the Blessed Mother, mentioned how he was close to Father Don Kline, pastor of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Scottsdale, Arizona, and how his wife was baptized Catholic.” SOURCE: https://ewtn.co.uk/article-charlie-kirks-wife-what-we-know-about-erika-kirks-catholic-faith/
Shame on Charlie Kirk and Erika for their ecumenical ties with the whore of Rome! Kirk was clearly sucking-up and pandering to Catholics. Ecumenism is of the Devil (2nd Corinthians 6:14-17). God doesn't command born again saints to stick around and hobnob with members of false religions to convert them, the Lord commands us as believers to separate from them! Christian fundamentalists don't change, people quit being fundamentalists. Ecumenism is the agenda of the ecumenical movement to promote cooperation among different religious denominations; aimed at universal religious unity. Ecumenism is contrary to biblical teaching in 2nd Corinthians 6:14-17. We are commanded as Christians not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
And let me kindly say, that the young woman speaking with Charlie Kirk in this audio excerpt is NOT a true Christian. She is admittedly a Roman Catholic, but we know according to the inspired Word of God that Catholicism is a Satanic fraud. Official Catholic dogma teaches sacramental salvation. It couldn't be more obvious that Erika Kirk is a hellbound Catholic. Both Kirk and Erika have surreptitiously avoided criticizing the accursed Catholic cult (Galatians 1:6-9).
To Charlie's utter shame, this is what happens when you pander to the cults (Catholics are claiming Kirk was about to convert to their religion). In the preceding article that I link to, Kirk is literally saying that we “don't venerate Mary enough.” Venerate? Folks, this word means to worship!!! Charlie says non-Catholics fail to worship Mary enough! Unbelievable! Clearly he was either a secret Catholic or wickedly coddled them for whatever reason. Let it be known that I don't worship Mary at all!
Nowhere in the inspired Word of God are we taught to serve, pray or even recognize Mary in an capacity. Ungodly hellbound Catholics worship Mary. They count Rosary beads while sinfully praying to Mary. Due to Charlie's sinful kissing up to Catholics, the heathen world doesn't see any difference between true Christianity and the demonic Catholic cult. NO ONE who follows the damnable false teachings of Roman Catholicism is a born again Christian!!!
One Baptist man tried to defend Charlie Kirk, telling me that Kirk was simply saying that Mary is the solution to the evils of feminism. I kindly rebuked him for being so willingly naive. Kirk plainly said that Protestants and non-Catholics don't venerate Mary enough. How does worshipping Mary solve feminism? There is no way that Kirk's sinful comments can be dismissed; whether intentional or unintentional, he is clearly encouraging idolatry! Remember dear reader, Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born again.
The True Biblical Gospel Versus Christian Service
Charlie's counterfeit plan of salvation that requires taking Jesus as your “Lord,” repenting of your sins, and giving your life to Christ are NOT the saving Gospel of free grace. The Gospel according to 1st Corinthians 15:16 is three things:
Jesus DIED on a cross to pay our debt of sin.
Jesus was BURIED.
Jesus RESURRECTED from the dead three days later.
Romans 1:16 teaches that THE GOSPEL is the power of God unto salvation to them that BELIEVE IT!
Repenting of your sins, giving your life to Christ, making Christ known, inviting Christ into your life and following Jesus as one's “Lord” is a counterfeit gospel. These unbiblical embellishments and additions to the Gospel are commonly called “Lordship Salvation.” Lordship Salvation is a false doctrine that mixes works with grace, confusing and blurring the lines between service versus salvation, between discipleship versus sonship, between sanctification versus justification. I love this quote! ...
“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” [emphasis added] —John Bunyan (1628-1688)
Another one of my favorite preachers, Pastor M.R. DeHaan (1891-1965) said it this way...
“There is a vast difference between coming to Jesus for salvation and coming after Jesus for service. Coming to Christ makes one a believer, while coming after Christ makes one a disciple. All believers are not disciples. To become a believer one accepts the invitation of the Gospel, to be a disciple one obeys the challenge to a life of dedicated service and separation. Salvation comes through the sacrifice of Christ; discipleship comes only by sacrifice of self and surrender to His call for devoted service. Salvation is free, but discipleship involves paying the price of a separated walk. Salvation can't be lost because it depends upon God's faithfulness, but discipleship can be lost because it depends upon our faithfulness.” [emphasis added] —Pastor M.R. DeHaan, Hebrews; Zondervan Publishing House, 1959 (p. 117)Boy that is good stuff! Dear friend, if you are saved Jesus is your Lord. Receiving Him as “Lord” has nothing to do with getting saved; but rather, after you are saved the dear Savior wants you to pick up your cross and follow Him. This according to Romans 12:1-2 is the believer's “reasonable SERVICE.” Please don't miss that, it is our SERVICE for Christ, not our SALVATION through faith in Christ.
Anyone who comes to God as a needy sinner, who by faith (taking God at His written inspired Words in the Holy Bible) accepts Christ's sacrifice on the cross as full payment for your sins, believing that Jesus was buried, but then miraculously resurrected physically from the dead after three days, is saved. Nothing more than childlike faith (trust, reliance) is required nor permitted to get to Heaven. Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith. Salvation is not a reward for the righteous, it is a gift for the guilty.
Kindly said, Charlie and Erika Kirk fail to put a difference between service and salvation. They are promoting the Devil's falsehood of Lordship Salvation. By failing to separate works from grace they obscure the Gospel, hiding the light of the truth from lost sinners (2nd Corinthians 4:3-4; Galatians 5:4). The unsaved Catholic woman in this audio clip at a Turning Point meeting is exactly right that what Charlie preached is NOT the Gospel, nor is the Satanic Catholic dogma that she trusts in the Gospel. We are sadly seeing the blind leading the blind. Catholicism is NOT Christianity!!!
This is blatantly false teaching...
“The most important thing you can do in your life is give your life to Christ and make Christ known. The second most important thing is to make sure you can do the first thing.” —Charlie Kirk, University Of North Texas (2025)
No, Dear reader, Jesus gave His life for you; Christ doesn't demand that you give your life for Him to be saved; which is discipleship, not sonship. Charlie Kirk was a confused individual...
“We need Christ to come into our life. We need to repent. We need to get down on our hands and knees and say: 'Jesus, come into my life.'” —Charlie Kirk, University Of North Texas (2025)
That is simply NOT how a lost sinner gets forgiven. Jesus came into the life of Judas Iscariot, but he still died in his sins and went to Hell forever to burn. In Matthew 7:21-23, those unfortunate damned souls followed Jesus, calling Him “Lord, Lord.” They boasted of their “many wonderful works” all done in Jesus' precious name. They preached in Jesus' name. Yet, the dear Savior denied knowing them as His sheep. Jesus declared His Father's will in John 6:40, which is to believe on Jesus, plus nothing! With the Catholics and Charlie Kirk it's faith in Jesus, plus more. The most important thing in your life is not to “give your life to Christ,” it is to BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU.
Please understand that I didn't write this article to cast a negative reflection upon the Kirk family; but rather, to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1b:3). What Charlie Kirk preached is NOT the Gospel. Many Christians assume that Charlie had to be saved, since he openly testified that he knew he was an undeserving guilty sinner and Jesus Christ died in his place on the cross; but Charlie made the fatal mistake of adding repenting of your sins and giving your life to Christ to get to Heaven (which additions can be heard in his numerous public comments). So, what Charlie really trusted in was partial faith in Christ plus works. Remember, every pseudo-Christian religious cult agrees with Charlie's core belief in Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. But they, like Charlie, pervert the Gospel by adding more to it, confusing service with salvation. This is the Devil's falsehood of Lordship Salvation, and it is deadly as seen in Matthew 7:21-23.
