about to do you a solid my dear friend. If you just bought a brand new
Hewlett Packard x360 Pavilion laptop and the internet is as slow as
Molasses, it's not the computer, it's Microsoft's lousy Edge operating
system!
Do your self a big favor and deactivate S mode, so you can install Google Chrome. Once you do that your internet will work fast like it should.
My humble opinion is that Microsoft doesn't care about your "safety" online, near as much as they do about forcing you to have to buy everything from their Microsoft store! Hence "S mode." I didn't hesitate to turn off S mode, since that was necessary to install Google Chrome. Microsoft Edge is poorly designed and it is SLOOOOOOW!!!
So before you return your laptop for a refund, thinking HP sold you junk, try to exit "S mode" and install Google Chrome, and I think you will be pleased.
