I Need Suggestions From Web Visitors
by David J. Stewart | March 2021
I could use some help from my web visitors. I want to make my websites better. I do this freely for you friends, because I love you with God's love. I do this for the Lord Jesus Christ, my God and Savior. One web visitor recently scolded me kindly for not updating my websites for years, and he is right. I apologize for not being more diligent to update content. I have been so busy creating new content that I haven't kept up with the old. Lord willing, I will be working on that. But I want to hear from my web visitors.
Pastor Jack Hyles used to wisely say, "Unsought advice is seldom taken and usually resented." Well, I am kindly asking for your advice. What are your comments and suggestions for my ministry websites? What would you like to see change? Now, I may not take every suggestion, so please don't be offended if I don't take any particular idea, but two minds are better than one, and I want your input. I want to honor Christ with my labors. I want to be as effective as possible. I want to reach as many people with the Gospel as I can, without compromising myself by allowing people to advertise on my websites. I won't let people exploit my labors for Christ for money. Do you have ideas how I can reach more people? I have lost 75% of my web traffic since 2015 because of Google changing their algorithm. That sure feels like censorship to me!
I want to make about 7 blogs. I have three so far. I just made one on my birthday called Right Doctrine Matters. I have Stewart 1611 and Gift Of Eternal Life. I wanted The Truth Matters, but it is already taken. I wanted Disturbing Truths, but it also is already taken. I wanted The Truth, but it is unfortunately taken. I would like for suggestions from web visitors to name my blogs. What would you suggest? My brain is stuck...lol. I want to make my ministry better. If you have helps, ideas, resources, things to share, ideas, technical help, anything. I just DON'T want money! People keep trying to give me money, and I always, always turn it down. Someone recently bought me a gift certificate at Amazon for $75 and I kindly refused it. I am so thankful, but my heart won't take a penny for helping others in Christ. I love you all and one way I can prove it is by not taking any money. The thought is what counts. Thank you!
Albeit, I sure could use your daily prayers. I think every one of us knows the frustration of praying and it seems like nothing changes. I always feel that way. But dear friend, “For we walk by faith, not by sight:” (2nd Corinthians 5:7). If God is real and the Bible is true, then God always hears the prayer of the righteous and addresses them according to His will. So I choose to keep praying anyway, even if it seems like God never answers. That is okay, I am walking by faith, believing that my God cares about me, loves me, watches over me, will never leave me and He wants what is best for me, so I must pray (Philippians 4:6-8).
Anyway, I'd like to hear from my web visitors. What ideas do you have for me? If you find any broken links or typos, please tell me, and I will fix them. If you find anything inappropriate, please tell me. Sometimes a website will expire, and a dirty company will buy it, and then I find out later that I was linking to smut. If you find something like that, please let me know. It makes me sad when I upload articles, and the links are dead or photos are missing, and no one bothered to tell me. This is your ministry too friends. I don't make a penny and never will. If you pray for me and this ministry, you reap in the rewards. Everyone who has ever influenced my life for God is reaping rewards from my labors, because without their help I wouldn't be able to do this. I owe everything to my parents, and to Dr. Jack Hyles, and all the Bible teachers I had at Hyles-Anderson College, and those who have influenced my life through books, sermons and other ways. I am clipping coupons today, hearing wonderful stories from people who were saved through this ministry, or their life was transformed through the truths they learned through my labors online. I am humbled and pass along ALL the credit to Jesus, for without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5).
So please let me know if you have any helpful ideas, suggestions, constructive criticism, names for new blogs, content suggestions, new additions to my ministry you'd like to see, et cetera.
