Modern Education, Values Clarification, OBE, Behaviorism - The REAL Problems
by Gene Zimmer

Who can and will determine the beliefs, values, attitudes and convictions of our children?

That is the problem stated at its most basic level.

It is not a question of whether children and people develop and possess beliefs and attitudes as described by modern behaviorism - they do, in part anyway. It is not a question of whether past beliefs and attitudes have often acted to promote intolerance, injustice, hatred and oppression - they have. It is not a question of whether the form and details of society at any time is basically dependent upon the beliefs, attitudes and convictions of its members - it is.

The question is who gave modern public education and the government the right to decide what these beliefs, attitudes, values and convictions should and will be?

It is completely true that the sum total of the beliefs, attitudes, convictions and values of any group of people determines the general and specific form the society takes - the level of decency, morality, responsibility, and happiness, but also criminality, immorality, injustice, decadence and decay. It’s not that the psychologists and sociologists are wrong in their analysis of all this. They are too often very correct in their observations of existing conditions, but almost always incorrect in their explanation of underlying causes. They are a complete failure with their purported solutions and "cures" (look at the modern disaster of public education, which has been controlled by educational psychologists for many years now).

Science as Man's Salvation, or is it?

Their idea is that, up until now, society has unfolded, largely in negative and harmful ways, because the beliefs, attitudes, values and convictions of its members were determined either by pure chance or due to the machinations of unscrupulous members of religions and governments. This has been largely true. The humanist analysis of the past is generally not incorrect from within the framework they view it from. The social engineers have the opinion that this can all be changed for the better by a "scientific" understanding of how belief, attitudes and values form, and by their active intervention in controlling how and what ideas take hold and grow within any society.

This is a noble sounding idea, but only in theory. It hasn't yet and it never will produce positive results. Why? "Pure science" is always the result of generally curious individuals who discover for the sake of discovery alone. They, as "pure scientists", have no affiliation with any purpose, cause or ideal. They do what they do pretty much because it’s there to be done. It's fun. It's challenging. But the results of "pure science" are always taken and used by others, who DO have very specific purposes, goals, intentions and plans, and these things are not necessarily what any of us would choose freely on our own if we were completely educated into the truth of what is going on.

As an example, Einstein developed his ideas and applications of energy, E=mc2, primarily from a pure love and fascination with the subject. The subject is just data, information, and related facts. But it took others to make nuclear weapons, and bring the planet to a point where either the USSR or the USA have enough nuclear warheads to destroy the planet 10 times over! The point is that whatever knowledge exists is taken and used by POWERS to further their own power base, wealth and control.

The sociologist and humanist correctly points out that beliefs, attitudes and behaviors have been manipulated in the past by devious members of the State and Church, to the harm of us all. What they fail to notice or mention is that the same type of culprit is always with us, and always eager and willing to use the latest methods and techniques to further control the general public. They are with us now, although well disguised. Behavioral psychology and social engineering may contain a few lofty and decent notions about "creating a better tomorrow" and "evolving a humane society for all", but in actual application, it gets used, and mostly abused, by the same type nasty folks who have been wreaking havoc on the planet since as far back as we can look.

Plus the subjects of modern psychology, and sociology, largely based upon Darwinian theories of evolution and the importance of the environment as the key determining and controlling factor, are fundamentally flawed, and lead naturally to incorrect theories and disastrous practices. Modern scientific analysis of "man" has neglected and denied Man's mind. The subjects themselves, whether used by good or bad intentioned people, are incomplete and will always result in failed people and societies.

Behavioral Psychology & Psychiatry as Tools of the Elite

All research into these subjects has been conducted or funded by wealthy corporations, foundations and governments. These subjects wouldn't exist at all without the tremendous degree of funding given to them. As subjects of a pure free enterprise system of supply and demand, they would have disappeared a long time ago because nobody would have paid for them. They exist only because of incredible subsidization by forces external to the free and natural market place of supply and demand. The subjects of psychology, social engineering, and psychiatry are TOOLS for those who fund them used to realize their own goals and purposes.

Methods and techniques exist to alter values, beliefs, and behavior. These are being used extensively by the government and through the modern public education system. The educators, philosophers, psychologists and teachers will deny, usually, that they are doing this, but this is exactly what they are doing. Some slip from time to time and tell it like it is. It is quite clear though if you take the time to read their research or professional writings.

Part of any theory of behavior modification, values clarification or outcome-based education involves the idea of "what do we want the future to be like?" To decide on how to modify values, beliefs, or behavior, one must first decide what "outcomes" they want to exist in the future, then what behaviors are necessary to bring the outcomes about, and finally what values, beliefs and convictions are necessary to enable or support these. All these social engineers first establish a very clear idea and model of what they want the future to be like.

Then, starting with the concept of what they desire the future to be, they work backwards and determine what beliefs, convictions and attitudes are necessary to support such a future. Once they have established these beliefs, attitudes and convictions, they then examine the current beliefs, attitudes and convictions, and work out a plan of how to get from here, in the present, to there, in the future. Millions of dollars have been spent on studies related to this idea of controlling the change of beliefs, attitudes and behavior. It’s been going on for almost 50 years, although usually well hidden from public view. Public education gives them an almost "closed system", free from external influences, where they can work their plans and methods. The public schools are very much an experimental psychology laboratory, and your children are the guinea pigs. Realize most of what they do is based on theories, and the theories get tested upon your children in the public schools. They don't know if their ideas are "right" or "will work", but that won't stop them from trying.

The point is this:

Who determines what the future will be? Who has a right to determine the future for the rest of us? I don't recall being given the choice of voting on this? Do you?
Parents Rights to Decide

Most parents feel that they should have the right to determine what the future should be for their children. They should. The parent tries to impart to their children values, morals, ideals, beliefs and convictions. This is because the parent has decided, whether actually thinking about it or not, that the life they have lived and experienced is worthwhile, valuable, and legitimate, and that they will do their best to transmit a similar life, through their own values and beliefs, to their children. They have found their values and morals to lead to a purposeful and fulfilling life. But the modern behavioral psychologist views this as "brutal totalitarianism" and "forced parental authority" which undermines the natural decency and morality of the inquisitive child. They don't believe you have a right to do this, and they are trying to do all within their power to stop you from doing it. They claim "science" has proven them right, and as a true believer they will do whatever is necessary to get their way.

I will be honest. I am not a Christian. I fall nowhere within the right or the left politically. I consider both ends to be examples of potential totalitarianism (right=fascism and left=communism; take your pick as they are equally rotten). I don't believe in God - not at all. But I am also not an atheist, a humanist or a materialist. I am extremely spiritual, very moral, and above all, believe that every person should be granted the complete right to choose and believe whatever they desire with no interference from anyone else. I believe every person has the right to bring up their children how they choose, and it also your right to communicate your beliefs and opinions to others in whatever manner you choose. If the listener accepts them, fine, and if not, that should also be fine. I do not at all agree that enforced behavior manipulation, parading as "education" should be allowed anywhere in our public schools. Modern psychology is an enemy of traditional religions, as it denies all absolutes, but it is also an enemy of everything decent in Man, as it also denies Man's inner mental nature, which is the actual source of Man's creativity, meaning, purpose, responsibility, intention, will, awareness, decency and morality.

Modern psychology also has an interesting view of religion. They understand it to be the beliefs and feelings one has as a necessary requirement to come to terms with the absolute magnitude, lack of control, and ultimate fate we each encounter in life and with the universe. To them it has to do with "feelings" only, and refers to no possibility of actuality as far as specific beliefs, dogma and creed go. They look at it as a "need" like the human organism's need for food, rest, sex or entertainment, and view the existing details of any religion as the end result of mutual mental reactions to external forces which evolved over centuries. They could never understand how various aspects of Buddhism or Hinduism may actually be the results of centuries of intense and valid study and experimentation with mental and spiritual aspects of Man they know absolutely nothing about.

To them religion is all delusional and of the nature of adult fairy tales (which some of it may very well be). They are happy to try to push out all existing religions which they see as sources of conflicts, intolerance and authoritarianism, and usher in some new, more tolerant form of religion which will equally "satisfy" the human "need" for religion. What they don't ever see is that there are entire aspects of reality, experience and alternative possibilities for human consciousness which only are dealt with, explained and understood under what's called "religion". These things aren't necessarily imaginary or false, and may have complete legitimate existence, but not to the modern materialist and "science". But no matter, people should have and must be guaranteed the right to choose and believe whatever they desire, and to pass these beliefs and practices on to their children without interference. In a sense the adult continues to live through their children, and it's up to them to create their children in whatever form they choose.

Said in another way, people enjoy certain aspects of their life and it's social organization. They consider these valid, important, and fulfilling, and they intend to enable the same level of validity, importance and fulfillment in the lives of their children. This is done through the passing of ideas and notions about the past, and especially with beliefs, attitudes and convictions about all manner of things. These involve culture, heritage, religion, morals, and ethics among other things.

The modern behaviorist and educator, or social scientist and humanist, will point out that unique cultures, heritage, race, religion and morals have too often acted to oppress and attack others with conflicting cultures, heritage, race, religion, and morals. They are completely right. But they offer no workable solution, despite all their theories and well-promoted lofty intentions. They pretty much attack and tear down without putting anything positive and substantial back to take the place of what they destroy. Additionally, they fail completely to ever notice or mention all the good and positive things which have come out of religion, culture, heritage, race, and existing morality.

To point out a few examples out of many: I enjoy the beauty of a Hindu poem, the intensity of a Tibetan monk meditating, Buddha's urgings to observe and verify for yourself, and the notion of Christ's unwavering unconditional Love. I enjoy Chinese food, the incredible politeness of the Japanese, the attention to details of the Germans, the strong family feelings of the Jews, the innocent lack of pretension of the Scandinavian people, and the friendliness of the Italians. I appreciate the various things different peoples attach meaning to such as traditions, clothing, and the unique ways they value and involve themselves with life. I admire the white race's desire and ability to control the world around him, the yellow race's lack of desire to do the same, the black's incredible artistic creativity as displayed in music and dance, and the red race's awe and respect for nature. There is so much good that has come out of religion, divergent cultures, the various races, and even governments.

I dare say without the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule the past 2000 years would have been much worse of a barbarism that it otherwise had been. They also fail to point out the true sources of the evils and troubles of any time period, this being - the few powerful manipulators and controllers who are always there using whatever means are available to deceive, control, spread chaos and oppress the rest of us - whether as members of religions, political parties, corporations, or educational systems. The modern philosopher, humanist, and psychologist err by conceiving the entirety of religion and allegiances to any group to be all equally evil and prone to harming others, when in fact, it is usually only a few well placed really nasty few who actually cause all the trouble and give the larger subjects or areas a bad name by association.

Thus Germans get a bad name from Hitler; Christians get a bad name from the ruling hierarchy of the Spanish Inquisition; Americans get a bad name from CIA interference in politics in South America; Brits get a bad name for the East India Company's control of opium production and wars with China to keep the peasant population addicted and the profits rolling in. See, it's almost always only a few making it bad for everyone else. Because the normal or average German, Christian, American, or Brit simply wants to be left alone, live their life as they choose, work, play, and make whatever they want for themselves and others.

People like to form into groups, which have differing attitudes, opinions, concerns, goals, beliefs, attitudes and values. But instead of encouraging a true tolerance of alternate viewpoints, modern psychological theories act to destroy the possibility of any differences at all, and more than not enforce a droll mediocrity of standardized experience and conformity. Maybe this isn't what they say they want, or even truly want, but this is the results of their practices, despite all their arguments and protests. When all is said and done, the results of their methods fail and do not give the results they originally envisioned. In fact, too often their results are worse than if they simply had done nothing at all! We all need to observe results and quit listening to PR and asserted declarations of truth.

Why Modern "Scientific" Theories of Man Fail

Moral relativism has resulted in moral decay and a feeling amongst young people that "nothing matters", "why bother", and "it's only my opinion, and its no more valuable than anyone else's". Despite what they say, and how true what they say often is, the modern social scientists consistently fail to change anything for the better when attempting to apply their methods to people and society. Things get worse, and their interference actually acts to increase the rate of things getting worse. Why?

Without getting into a detailed discussion of this, let me briefly say that Man at the current level of human consciousness and spiritual attainment is incapable of understanding, using, or benefiting by ideas and methods such as moral relativism. It might work for perfect or near-perfect human beings, but then again, in that case, just about anything would work.

First, there is too much irrationality (sources of mental and emotional turmoil) still buried deep within us all which prevents any possibility of "sane" examination and choice of values, beliefs, convictions and attitudes, much less any consistent effective personal control of intentional behavior. As an example, try to quietly sit for 30 minutes and observe the activity of your own mind. Or try to empty your mind and not think of anything for 10 minutes. Or the next time you feel depressed, for no reason, just make it go away. The point is that we have almost no control over the inner landscape of our own minds and emotions. The modern subjects of psychology and psychology have failed to understand the magnitude and true sources for this aspect of Man's irrationality and lack of control, besides also then failing in any attempt to solve this situation. Their theories don't adequately explain it, much less address it.

The source of much of Man's "feelings", attitudes and ideas is a veritable cesspool or spiritual abyss, buried deep within, impervious to detection and observation, and which constantly acts to "color" and effect every experience of Man's daily life. This hidden and unknown realm of irrationality is the primary source of insane intentions, desires, compulsions, hatred, intolerance, and confusion. Sigmund Freud began looking into this area, but he only scratched the surface, and theories and methods addressing man's "inner realm" directly have been largely forgotten under the influence of modern behaviorism and psychiatry. Research was never carried forward in this direction within any traditional or established fields of study. No simple system of "values clarification", OBE, drugging, behavioral engineering, social manipulation or government can or will work when this factor in Man remains unhandled. It's like trying to put a Band-Aid on a 10" gash which actually requires 35 stitches, antibiotics and much more involved medical treatment.

Second, systems such as "values clarification" assume we all have easy and ready access to accurate facts and information. This is completely absurd. Since the government is behind the entire behavioral approach to education, you'd better realize that any "data", "facts" or "information" you get to apply in your values clarification exercises or situation analysis has probably been spoon fed to you. There is so much false information out there - about economics, health, the mind, the environment, nutrition, medicine, people, money, the government, politics and religion. Of course they want you to have a "free choice" in a "democratic" society because they are providing the only information about the options available to you.

Democracy, defined as decisions by and for the majority of the people, is the perfect system for any society where beliefs, attitudes and convictions are effectively controlled by some hidden power, whether the government, corporate entities, or religion. The people are spoon fed the "information" necessary to mold their attitudes and beliefs, and then they happily and in a very deluded manner, "vote" and decide "freely" upon their future. It's a complete delusion. Realize this is why the United States is now such a loud proponent of "democracy" these days. The USA used to promote the "free enterprise system", but no more. Democracy is the best political setup for an evolved system of social manipulation, as it creates the illusion that the "people" decide and control things, when actually hidden others decide and control completely using advanced techniques of behavioral control and social engineering. If you think this is absurd, you fail to understand the level of adeptness the social psychologists have attained. They have had almost unlimited funds for the past century to realize their goals - and they have been very busy. Reading through any materials on values clarification or outcome-based education makes it painfully obvious that methods for altering beliefs, attitudes and behavior have been around for quite awhile now.

As with anything in the government, whatever you see to exist at any moment is most likely only the tip of the iceberg, because much of their studies are confidential, protected by the National Security Act, and you only have access to what they have allowed you to have access to. As an example, if they have a Stealth bomber, and we know about that, lord knows what they have that we don't know about! (UFOs?) The CIA, as part of the government, conducted illegal and hidden mind control experiments on unknowing American public in the 50's and 60's. Do you really think they stopped? What they stopped was their careless methods and leaving traceable evidence. Who knows what levels of technical expertise they have achieved with brain microchip implants and other forms of mind control. Again, the only thing they have stopped doing is getting caught.

Concern With Emotions and Feelings

Modern educational theories almost always appeal to the emotions. How do you feel about that? What's your feeling on abortion? What's your feeling on your parents divorce? What would you feel if your brother were brutally murdered? What do you feel when I say each word? Rain Forest? Homosexual? Mom? We need to all feel more. These, and similar questions, are part and parcel to OBE, values clarification and behavioral manipulation. What does this have to do with learning to read, spell, study, develop skills, or excel at anything? It doesn't.

Emotions and feelings have nothing to do with reason or analytical thought. They have nothing to do with personal control, choice, responsibility and self-determinism. They have nothing to do with observing situations, collecting facts and making sane or constructive decisions. They have nothing to do with controlling one's behavior and actions. Emotions, too often, come from the earlier mentioned dark and unconscious place hidden deep within us all. They can, at times, seem to erupt from the depths of our being. They are too often irrational, or not germane to the situation at hand. But emotions are routinely appealed to in modern psychological procedures. Why? Because feelings and emotions represent the raw, unreasoned gut reaction to stimuli - to the behavioral psychologist anyway. Feelings represent your immediate, pre-conscious, unreasoning response to any stimuli. It's a direct index, to them, of how you experience something.

A person should be a mind in control, with reason and analytical ability in the driver's seat. The emotions are often simply the body-mind reaction to events, some positive, some negative, but also, emotional content can erupt from the depths of one's being, having no apparent relationship to the current external environment. Feelings are not dependable "data" for making decisions. Ideas and attitudes can also be largely determined or at least colored by this invisible source of human error within us all. Examples such as paranoia for no reason, fear of speaking in public, or anxiety over something which holds no actual threat or danger exhibit this. There are many more as life is filled with them. Modern psychological and psychiatric theories have failed to address this and it's actual causes and solutions. Also emotions can be exaggerated for the situation at hand. Simply, appealing to emotions and how one feels is begging to open the door to illogic, and irrationality.

Feelings are what happens to you, as an effect. Thought and reason determine what you do as a source of decision and as a cause upon things outside yourself. Emotions are energies coming in at you, whereas rationality involves energies you send out to others and to the environment.

Cause is sending out. That's part and parcel with responsibility, creativity and action. Effect is coming in, what happens to you and involves modern psychology's inane preoccupation with feelings and "experience" (i.e. What happens to me? How do I feel? Is this experience valuable? Let's work to achieve quality experiences. Life in it's best form is positive mutual experience...)

Modern psychology is concerned to the point of absurdity with one's "response", "reaction to" and "experience" with and to life. It's all from the angle of "how you are the effect of something". This approach, which is a basic theoretical and ideological underpinning of all their systems of thought, puts a certain spin on everything they do. In a nutshell, Man is viewed as an object of effect, a point upon which forces act, a thing to be moved and determined by powers other than himself. Even every separate unique experience is viewed as a stimuli which acts upon the human organism forcing him to modify his thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, values and behavior.

Man as Responsible and at Cause

The above mentioned viewpoint is opposite to, contradictory to, and incompatible with any viewpoint of Man as a creative, causative, and responsible entity. This is one of modern psychology's ideological major flaws and weaknesses. It also explains why modern psychological theories can and never will get the results they imagine, despite all their humanistic rhetoric and humane posturing. It ultimately denies and prevents causative thought, and responsible self-determined actions. Behavioral psychology theoretically denies these things in Man, things which are actually capabilities and potentials of Man's mind. Modern psychology stopped dealing with the mind a long time ago.

The theories and practices of modern psychology and psychiatry inherently deny any original power to act, creativity or causal ability in Man. They also deny and actually extinguish responsibility. This has disastrous effects on society - notice increasing crime, decreasing ability of students, increasing mental problems, and increasing violence. These are all areas modern psychology and psychiatry have been deeply involved in. This is no coincidence.

It's not that the observations of the modern psychologists aren't correct - they are pretty much often right about that. Man does have problems with life and his own mind. Man has been a tyrant throughout most of his history, as a group and as individuals. But this was not only due to the extant beliefs, attitudes, values and convictions of the times. The modern behavioral psychologist believes this to be true, and assumes that if he simply changes man's beliefs, attitudes, values and convictions, that everything will turn out just dandy. He has failed completely to recognize various intensely uncontrollable, irrational and powerfully negative aspects of Man's mind, which function to prevent any true evolution to or attainment of better states of personal existence and organizations of society. It was this aspect of Man that has caused, is causing now, and will cause in the future all insanity, criminality, hatred, failure and unhappiness - at least until it is adequately confronted, addressed and dealt with in an effective manner. Without observing and recognizing this aspect of Man and his mind, the modern psychologists naturally never attempt to deal with it or correct the source of it. Instead, they endlessly manipulate and control thought and behavior, using overt or covert force in the attempt to achieve their aims.

Man can come up with new political systems, "psychological theories", "social sciences", beliefs, values and convictions until the end of time, but as long as man's quite severe underlying spiritual (i.e. mental) problems remain unseen and unhandled, all Man's attempts at bringing about a better world will fail.

See, it's not the world that's the problem. It's not the "social setup" that's the problem. It's not the political entity that's the problem. It's not some religion that's the problem. It's not even so much the beliefs, attitudes and values which are the problems, at least not at the most fundamental level. It's Man himself who is the problem. He carries around with him, everywhere he goes, the blueprint for his own destruction. It's intricate, powerful, hidden and always ready to subvert every decent intention, plan or activity. This blueprint is not formed from current environmental effects upon the organism, and the conceptual framework of the behaviorists and psychiatrists are insufficient to detect, explain or solve this problem. The best explanation of it is in the book Dianetics, by L.Ron Hubbard.

Call it the unconscious mind, or collective unconscious, or Freudian Id, or whatever you want. None of these succeed at fully delineating and understanding the nature, complexity, or power of this invisible, but continual source of human failure and misery. So long as this remains, so will fail every superficial "scientific", philosophical or intellectual abstract system which attempts to "fix" Man and his societies. Every system attempts to solve the problem by enforcing some external social structure or set of beliefs upon Man. But the hidden problem(s) remain(s) there, always acting to confuse and upset individual sane thinking and behavior.

Until it is studied, understood, and solved, for every single human being (or at least enough to make a difference), every enforced external structure or system will fail. In fact, the more control that is exerted, the worse it always gets. Surprisingly, once this source of human aberration and irrationality is addressed and corrected, the need for systems such as "modern psychology" and "psychiatry" will disappear. Both of these are attempts to explain and solve something which each only views from a very limited, biased and superficial angle. These deal largely with symptoms, endlessly naming negative conditions with life or a mind, and constructing complex theories which remain at a superficial level of understanding causes while pretending to deal with fundamentals and facts. Plus, they are linked much too closely with profit motives (drug companies - psychiatry) and power (governments - behavioral engineering), and they aren't necessarily even really trying to do what they say they are trying to do - solve Man so as to "help" the individual human being.

Intellectual Ability and Abstract Thinking

The implementation and application of behavior modification techniques in the schools has taken attention away from actual intellectual and cognitive development. This further confuses things because intellectual development aids and contributes to the use of reason, analytical ability, observational ability and thinking (instead of depending on "feelings"). The modern teacher is much more apt though, because this is how they have been taught, to ask the student how he "feels" about something, instead of what he "thinks" about something. Consulting "feelings", instead of thought, is a direct invitation to open the doors of irrationality. There is such a thing as intuition, but this is not what the "feelings" of modern psychology refers to. The acknowledgment and development of Man's capacity for conceptual thought and analytical reasoning helps minimize the effects and power of the negative unconscious aspects of Man mentioned earlier. So, modern psychological practices act to diminish the ability to think, and also appeal more to Man's unconscious and largely undependable realm of "feelings" and emotions. Ironically, the "Age of Reason" is leading directly to the "Age of Unreason".

As I have a tendency to do, I have digressed again. I shall return to the original point of this paper. Who should decide what the future should be, and therefore, who should decide the values, beliefs and attitudes of our children?

Government Decides If You Don't

If you don't demand the right to do it, the government will do it for you, and they will do it in a way which results in immorality, mental dullness, educational failures, and increasing decadence. It has gotten so bad in the public schools that your only chance to relay the ideas you want to your children is to take them out of the public school system.

The government, in alliance with supposed "professionals" in the fields of behavioral psychology, sociology and psychiatry, has decided on a pre-planned future, and they are using the public education system and the funding of private education to implement their practices to alter values, belief, conviction and behavior. They believe their "scientific" analysis and "discoveries" about people and society can be used to usher in a wonderful new world order of "peace", "harmony" and "grand human achievement". They are terribly wrong. But they won't be dissuaded, they aren't open to honest perception or observation, and they intend to keep on right along the way they are going. Even after the world is an ultra-controlled, decadent and meaningless menagerie of hedonistic personal "experiences", they will still conceive themselves to be right, having done the best they could with what they had to work with. Modern psychological theories are based upon the biological and genetic theories of Darwin, and they view your beliefs, values and actions as just so much animal response mechanisms to environmental stimuli. They don't think you are much more than a complex controllable animal. Don't be surprised if the future social order comes to more closely resemble a farm yard than anything else with the "animals" bred, fed, housed, and brought to slaughter .

Beliefs, convictions, values and attitudes will exist and change regardless whether done accidentally or intentionally. Relay the values and beliefs to your children and others which you think matter, and do everything you can to get the government and modern education out of the belief business. Behind it all, there are those who conceive themselves to know better than you, and who will gladly take control of the belief machinery if you let them.

It's not even a matter whether they are right and you are wrong, or vice versa. The point is that it is up to each of us, and each of us alone, to determine what beliefs we choose to support, and which we choose to pass along to our children and associates. Government should support and guarantee that right for all of us, and nothing more, but instead, the government is acting to originate, promote and instill specific beliefs into the culture, in an attempt to bring about a new and different future society.

Elitism and Authorities

They believe they are right, and as with all people who believe they are right, they have no compunctions about doing for and to you whatever is necessary for them to bring about their envisioned perfect new order of things. The modern humanists and materialists (as psychologists, social engineers and psychiatrists) are actually doing the very same thing they so readily accuse many past religions and monarchs of doing, things which they say they truly detest - enforcing their own unique and limited belief systems on others from a position of imagined superiority. It is meaningless that they now do this from a position of "science". The effects are the same - oppression, force, and harm to humanity. It's also meaningless that they say they have decent intentions - Hitler said the same thing; so did Stalin; and so did Chairman Mao. Millions of people suffered and died, and in the end what the elitists dreamed of never came into existence, largely because they possessed unreal and stupid notions in the first place. The goals and practices of modern government, humanism, social psychology and psychiatry are basically functioning in the same way. Whatever form their intentions and plans actually come to take will be some distorted and devolved example of further human depravity.

They aren't any smarter than you, and they shouldn't be allowed to do this. But that's really the problem with any elitist and "authority" - they believe they are smarter, assume they know best, and have the right to do whatever they choose, despite your disagreement and unwillingness. They conceive you to be incapable of making a correct and knowledgeable decision, and they jump right in to do it for you. They believe once things change, and you see and experience the wonders of their brave new world, that we will all happily cheer them on for the great things they have done. So they justify the means to their imagined future end, just as have all dictators and forces of evil who have ever coerced, deceived or harmed anyone, in their attempt to realize their supposed lofty ideal of social, political or religious perfection (i.e. nazism, fascism, communism, socialism, and now democracy).

Summary

You deserve to have the right to create any future you want, by deciding upon the attitudes, beliefs, values and convictions of your children and associates, but you will have to fight against those who would happily make those decisions for you. They have always been around sowing their mischief. They are here now.

Differing alternatives should be offered and clearly explained to you. You should have the right to be told if a school practices behavior modification methods, how so, what their intended goals are, and to then choose whether to enroll your children in the school. You should have the right to enroll them in another public school which doesn't practice behavioral methods if you so desire. That would be actual legitimate "freedom of choice". But you are not given that choice. Public schooling is a one-size-fits-all system, and either you accept what's available or you must pay for an alternative education elsewhere. Since many of us can't afford the alternatives, we are basically stuck with public education for our children. Ultimately it will come to be a one-size-fits-all system for the country and the entire planet. Keep in mind they are using the education system to bring about a new future. There won't be any choice there either - I imagine it will be accept the total social control or report to the euthanasia "clinic".

This is not freedom, or democracy, no matter how these slick advertising specialists package and promote it. It is forced belief manipulation, and to make matters worse, we all have to pay property taxes to support them in their efforts to control and direct the future beliefs, attitudes and values of our children, whether we agree with what they are doing or not.

Modern materialism and the "scientific" subjects of psychology and psychiatry are, in fact, intricate belief systems and structures of thought comprising tangible ideologies and orthodoxies. As such they are simply just like any past or present religion, because they contain theories and beliefs about Man, the universe, and Man's relationship to the universe around him. The psychiatrists, psychologists and humanists believe them as much as any religious fanatic believed what he believed. Really, for all practical purposes, these function just as did the religions of the past which they claim to detest so much. The State should not support any religion or unique system of belief about Man and the universe, whether disguised as "science" or otherwise. But it does. It supports materialism, modern psychology, psychiatry and social planning, all of which are results of the application of "science" to the the problems of people and societies (i.e. the social sciences - which aren't actually "sciences" at all). For more on exactly how and why "science" has failed, see here.
