Don't Ever Leave Your Spouse

Hebrews 13:5, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee

We are living in apostate times of great spiritual sickness. I am saddened at the extent to which professed Christians today are adopting the doctrines of devils. 1st Timothy 4:1 warns, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” Specifically, Paul was exposing those false prophets who forbid people to eat meat and get married (vs. 3). How much more then should we expose those today who seek to JUSTIFY witchcraft, abortion, homosexuality, fornication, and divorce? The world today is becoming saturated with doctrines of devils. One of the most hideous and demonic of these false doctrines is the claim that Jesus and Paul taught a right to divorce. No sir, they did not!

Did you know that the divorce rate is now over 75% in California? It's all part of the HollyWEIRD, San FranSICKO, and  CaliFORNICATION lifestyle. Jesus plainly condemned all divorce in Matthew 19:8, “He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.” The following verse is MUCH misinterpreted, “And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso married her which is put away doth commit adultery.” It is clear from the context of Mathew 19:9 that the woman ran off with another man.

If a man's wife runs off and leaves him for another man, or vise versa, then it would appear that the Scriptures do permit remarriage; however, the spouse that abandoned is guilty of causing the sin of adultery. There are NO Scriptural grounds for divorce... none! Please read, The Guilt of Divorce. When we are speaking of divorce and remarriage, we are speaking of two separate things. No one has a right to divorce; but there are a few situations which permit remarriage, such as the death of a spouse (Romans 7:3).

A woman sent me a letter this week, claiming that divorce is acceptable, and provided a link to another website that teaches Paul and Jesus taught a right to divorce. I sent her back links to Christianpunks.com and Christianlesbians.com, both clear examples of apostasy. She is looking to internet articles authored by apostate believers to justify her sins, instead of searching the incorruptible Word of God for truth. Who would have imagined a day in America when we would see professed "Christians" proudly proclaiming it's ok to divorce?

Actually it is nothing new, the same evils existed back in the Old Testament... “Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not; And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?” (Jeremiah 7:9,10). There is nothing new under the sun. The same malicious Devil who crept into people's hearts and minds thousands of years ago is still at work today destroying all that is good. Ephesians 5:11 commands us as Christians to refute (Greek, elencho, i.e., to EXPOSE) all works of darkness. Divorce is a work of darkness, clearly condemned in Matthew 19:8; Yet, backslidden believers defiantly twist (change) the Word of God around in an attempt to justify such wickedness!

Oh! Listen my friend, God has promised NEVER to leave His own, nor to forsake them. If you are a child of God, i.e., you've been born again by the Spirit of God, and have had your sins taken away by the precious blood of Jesus--then God will NEVER leave nor forsake you according to Hebrews 13:5! What a wonderful Savior! What a heartwarming truth! If you have ever been disowned by a parent, or forsaken by a spouse, or rejected by peers, then rest assure that God will NEVER leave you! God is NO fair-weather Friend, I assure you.

What a horrible thing it is for anyone to leave their loved ones! I just don't understand how any spouse could file for divorce, and abandon their loved one, especially if the remaining spouse is in objection to the divorce. I tell you that God will severely judge any wife or husband who divorces their spouse against their will. Divorce is nothing more than utter selfishness. It is a sin to seek greener pastures at the expense of your wedding VOWS. You promised to remain with your spouse... for better, for worse ... 'til death do you part! LIARS! America is a land of liars!

No professed Christian should ever leave their spouse or their children. I just don't understand the notion of disowning one's children. I don't understand the notion of divorce. I mean, if Jesus was willing to spend His life being rejected and persecuted for us, and to DIE for our sins, then why are we so impatient with each other? Did not Jesus teach His disciples to wash one another's dirty feet? Yes, He certainly did... “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet” (John 13:14). How does this Biblical teaching reconcile with the divorce epidemic destroying America?

I can hear some feminist hussy already... “But Jesus didn't beat His disciples.” No, you're right, He beat the people in the temple instead... “And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables.” You hussies want to make excuses to defend your rebellious attitude against a husband's authority. Now I'm NOT defending a drunkard husband who beats his wife; but I am saying that much of the fighting in our homes in America is caused by lazy, irresponsible, hypocritical, and rebellious wives who anger their husbands. Get right with God!

Now I don't expect 95% of the people reading this article to understand, because the love of God is too great for most people to comprehend. I'm so sick of how the Devils twists and distorts everything around backwards. America is in serious trouble today. We have become a spoiled and selfish nation. I recently heard a commercial on TV say, “I want it all and I want it now.” That about sums up America. While 18,000 children starve to death every day in this world, Americans spend $5,000,000,000 at Christmas time just on their PETS! Is it nothing to you? (Lamentations 1:12).

I primarily wrote this article to expose the evils of a wife or husband who leaves, when their spouse DOESN'T want a divorce. I can't think of anything more cruel than to abandon one's spouse, mercilessly filing for divorce in spite of a spouse's tears and apologies. This is a woeful sin unto God. Matthew 6:15 states, “But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Divorce is nothing more than self-righteous hypocrisy.

“Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD...” —Malachi 2:17

Divorce is a sin! Don't upset God by saying it's not.
