There is a self-righteous group of religious heretics, who teach that a
Christian believer can lose salvation. The Bible calls them liars and
ministers of Satan. There is no teaching as self-righteous than the very
notion that God would disown His children and take away their eternal life
when they willingly sin. There is no such thing as a perfect Christian. As
long as we are living in the flesh, we will daily struggle with sin, as did
the great Apostle Paul (Romans 7:14-25).
No one can live above sin all the time. As my pastor use to wisely say, "I can walk in the Spirit at any given time, but I won't always choose to walk in the Spirit because of the sin nature." No one can claim to live above sin; above reproach, perhaps; but above sin, no way. Everyone sins every day. Those who deny this claim are in self-righteous denial and have yet to recognize the extent of their own wickedness. We are so wicked that if we were to get what we deserve, Hell would immediately open beneath us and we'd plunge into the depths of the Lake of Fire forever. It is only God's wondrous grace that keeps us from doing so.
The entire false doctrine of losing one's salvation is firmly rooted in self-righteousness. Those who believe that salvation is lost when a believer willfully sins are calling God a liar, Who PROMISED eternal life before the world began (Titus 1:2). Romans 10:13 promises salvation to whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord. There is no added stipulation that a person must abstain from willfully sinning. Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth and the life. The Scriptures couldn't be more clearer concerning this matter.
Hebrews 12:6-8 teaches that God chastises His children when they sin, He doesn't cast them away by disowning them. Jesus taught that a person must be born again, i.e., born of the Spirit of God, to enter Heaven. Just as the physical birth is irreversible, so also is the spiritual birth irreversible. You don't lose it, then get it, then lose it, then get it. What a foolish doctrine for anyone to claim that God takes away one's salvation. Is not eternal life a free gift? Yes, of course (Romans 5:15; 6:23). How can we lose that which was not ours to give in the first place? If we're not saved by doing good works, then how can we be unsaved by doing bad works? The entire basis of Biblical salvation is in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, which is solely by faith (Romans 4:5-6; 2nd Corinthians 5:21).
I KNOW I am saved because my salvation is rooted in Christ's righteousness and not my own inferior self-righteousness. We have no self-righteousness to offer God (Isaiah 64:6). 1st John 5:13 says we can KNOW that we are saved. I know I'm saved. Jesus paid my sin debt at Calvary. Jesus died, was buried, and rose again for my justification. I am saved by His blood sacrifice (1st Peter 1:18-19; Hebrews 9:12,24). Therefore, I can rest assuredly in the promises of God.
So many religious people today errantly think they believe on Jesus Christ, but when you analyze their faith closer, it is sadly evident that they are self-righteous. Self-righteousness is not faith. Those who profess faith in Christ, while dearly hanging onto their own self-righteousness, are as unsaved as the Devil. Those who teach the Perseverance of the Saints false doctrine concocted by John Calvin, a major heretic, are unsaved. This doctrine teaches that those who are saved will continue in holy living and faith in Christ; but if they fail, then they lose their salvation. I'd beg to differ. I'd say that they were never saved to begin with in many cases.
However, we know from the Scriptures that even God's best and brightest amongst His saints sin horribly at times. Noah got drunk. Abraham lied. Abraham and Sara laughed with unbelief in God's face. Moses had a hot temper and disobeyed God when he smote the rock twice (thus ruining the type which pictured Christ being smote once for our sins). Samson went with a harlot. David commit adultery and killed the woman's husband. Jonah ran from God. Isaiah was a man of unclean lips. Peter denied Christ, quit the ministry and was found completely naked when Jesus came to them.
The church at Corinth was a total mess. They allowed fornication in the church, ate meat offered to idols, came drunk to the Lord's Supper, sued each other in court, spoke in heathen tongues and were a house divided. These were all Christians who strayed away from the Lord, or were immature (as the church at Corinth) and had never grown in the Lord. None of them, not one, ever lost their salvation. Only an ignorant fool would say otherwise in view of the plainest teaching of the Scriptures. Salvation can NEVER be lost, no matter what, because we are saved by Christ's righteousness and not our own... and a good thing, for we have no self-righteousness to offer God (Isaiah 64:6; Titus 3:5).
I am tired of arrogant self-righteous hypocrites, religious Pharisees, who go around teaching that salvation can be lost. Let me tell you something: If salvation could be lost, then we all lost it a long time ago, because we are all guilty, dirty, rotten, hell-deserving sinners. Do you understand that?
Those who believe that salvation can be lost have a completely different mindset than the genuine born-again Christian. This is why I say confidently that the proponents of losing one's salvation are not saved. To the true believer, Christ is our only hope. In Jesus we rest completely for our righteousness, sanctification and eternal life. However, to the unbelieving person who thinks he or she can lose salvation by committing sin, they errantly think they have a key role in their own salvation. Salvation is of the Lord.
There is fear, insecurity and a constant attempt to maintain one's salvation in the heathen mindset of Charismatics, Pentecostals, Assemblies of God and other demonic cult groups like the First Love Church in Aurora, Colorado, whose Korean female pastor (Sun Hui East) claims to receive divine revelations of "the mysteries of heaven and of the Holy Spirit."[1] This is Satanic religion. The so-called church hides behind a typical statement of faith, which fails to mention that they speak in heathen tongues, practice bogus faith-healing, teach the heresy of losing salvation and follow a cult leader who says Jesus bodily appeared to her decades ago and told her to disobey the Bible to become a female pastor. What we all need to do is follow the precious King James Bible, the only Bible which hasn't been corrupted by Satan.
Jesus told us in John 5:39 to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES!
If you search the Scriptures, then you will find that salvation is of the Lord, and man has nothing to do with salvation other than to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. The very fact that there will be two separate judgments, one for the saved, and another for the unsaved, evidences that believers who sin do not lose salvation. For if they did, then they would simply appear at the same judgment as the unsaved. 2nd Corinthians 5:10-11 speaks concerning the Judgment Seat of Christ for all believers. The Bible specifically teaches here that every believer will give account for the good and THE BAD done in the flesh. If doing bad wilfully meant losing salvation, then there would be no need for The Judgment Seat of Christ. Revelation 20:11-15 speaks concerning The Great White Throne of Judgment for the unsaved. It will be horrifying (2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9).
There are many false doctrines and sins today rooted in self-righteousness. Divorce is a sin rooted in self-righteousness, which says, "You're a bigger sinner than me, therefore, I have a right to divorce you." I hear so many wicked women saying the same things, "he did this" or "he did that," so I divorced him. Well, what did you do angel? Divorce is a horrible sin rooted in one's self-righteous hypocrisy. Shame on those wives, for the Bible teaches forgiveness 70 times 7 (Matthew 18:22). Divorce is a sin rooted in self-righteous hypocrisy and unforgiveness. God hates divorce. Divorce is evil.
God also hates false doctrines which are rooted in self-righteous hypocrisy, like the lie that salvation can be lost. Once a person is born-again, it is an irreversible miracle of God. It is also a lie that a sinner must amend his ways in order to be saved. It is self-righteous hypocrisy to require a sinner to make a full surrender to Christ to be saved. That is like expecting a newborn baby to run a quarter-mile marathon. No, you just trust Jesus to be saved, and then the Holy Spirit of God does the rest. Our part is simply to believe! Salvation is obtained by faith in Christ, the Son of God. We don't earn it, we don't maintain it, we don't preserve it, we don't keep it, we don't deserve it, we don't do anything other than to RECEIVE it. Eternal life is a free gift. Salvation is receiving, not giving.
