The Core of the Lordship Salvation Issue
False theology says... “You can't be
saved unless you try really hard to stop sinning!”
By David J. Stewart
Galatians 2:21, “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”
Eternal life is a gift (Romans 6:23). The Bible even uses the words “free gift” in Romans 5:15. All God asks is that we freely receive His gift in Jesus' name. Salvation is rooted in the promises of God's unconditional love for mankind that sent Christ to the cross to die. Jesus bore 100% of the burden of our sin debt at Calvary. Christ died, was buried and rose again. This is the Biblical gospel.
It's a gift! ... It's a gift! ... It's a gift! Eternal life is a free gift!
So why do men say that you must determine to stop sinning to have it?The great theological battle of our generation is being fought over the meaning and application of individual words.
Satan Has Redefined the Word “Lord” to Mean 'Surrender'
The word “Lord” has been wrongly redefined to mean “surrender your life to Christ in total obedience to be saved” instead of what the Bible teaches, which is that you simply believe on the Lord to be saved. Surrendering is not part of the gospel. You don't make Jesus Lord... He is Lord!
The word “Lord” concerning Jesus in the New Testament is the Greek Kurios meaning...
From κυρος kuros (supremacy); supreme in authority, that is, (as noun) controller; by implication Mr. (as a respectful title): - God, Lord, master, Sir.
No where in the Bible are we told that a sinner must receive Christ as “Lord” in this sense to be saved. John 20:31 plainly states, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” The Gospel of John was written to convince us that Jesus is “the Christ, the Son of God.” No where in the Scriptures are we required to make Christ our Master to be saved. You don't make Jesus Lord... He is Lord! The idea that placing one's faith in Jesus Christ is not enough to be saved, but that a guilty sinner must also make Jesus the Lord of his life, and commit one's self to obey Him, and depart from lifestyle of sin. Such heresy is 100% is of the Devil. It is pure works salvation. The Devil knows it. Roman Catholics know it. Do you?
Receiving Jesus as “Savior and Lord”
Please understand that times have changed over the past century in America's churches. An estimated 300,000 people walked the sawdust trail at Billy Sunday's nationwide revivals between 1893 and 1935 to receive Jesus as their “Savior and Lord.” That was popular terminology back then, and still is now today with some preachers. Such terminology is perfectly fine within a Biblical context. It was understood back then that when you got saved, you began a new life in Christ and obeyed the Lord. When preachers mentioned the word “Lord” in their gospel preaching, it was in the sense of walking in newness of one's new life in Christ (2nd Corinthians 5:17). They viewed getting saved and living anew in Christ as one in the same; but they didn't corrupt the gospel message by requiring a changed life as part of saving-faith.
Evangelist David Cloud and Artist Jack Chick teach that a person must do more than merely acknowledge their sinnership to be saved, they must also purpose in their heart that they intend to stop sinning once they are saved. This is a false gospel because the sinner is being MANDATED (required) to intend to reform as a prerequisite to faith in Christ. This is a false interpretation of what it means to repent Biblically. The gospel is so delicate, and so simple, that it is easily corrupted by the least change.
Please understand that Billy Sunday DIDN'T add works to faith like the proponents of Lordship Salvation do today. That's the big difference between a Biblical free-grace view of the gospel, verses a false gospel that places some of the burden upon a sinner to amend his ways in order to be saved (which is self-righteousness)! Those old-time preachers didn't require reformation as a prerequisite to placing one's faith in Christ. The Bible teaches REGENERATION first, then when the Holy Spirit comes to indwell that new convert, then the work of REFORMATION can begin.
REGENERATION is instant, an event in one's life; whereas REFORMATION is a process, which takes a lifetime to grow in the Lord (1st Peter 2:2). Reformation is NOT required for salvation (Titus 3:5; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:20). Salvation is not reformation, nor rehabilitation, nor education, nor legislation; but rather, regeneration!!! Ye must be born-again! (John 3:5); or as Pastor Jack Hyles used to eloquently say... You must have He, Jesus Christ, Who is the beginning, born in you!
Lordship Salvation is a False Gospel of Self-righteousness
Lordship Salvation is the false teaching that a person must try really hard to stop sinning as a part of saving-faith. They must surrender all to Jesus to be saved. They must make a personal commitment to Christ. This is Satan's gospel. All these things are ADDITIONS to the free gift of God. How can a gift be free if it has a bunch of restrictions, requirements and demands?
It's a gift! ... It's a gift! ... It's a gift! ... Eternal life is a free gift!
Paul Washer is really bad news, a wayward Calvinist preacher who calls the Roman's Road method of soul-winning a “manipulative practice.” Another wayward preacher is Ray Comfort who calls the Sinner's Prayer “Quick Fix Evangelism.” Kirk Cameron is also bad news. These men are the enemies of the gospel because they make salvation hard. John MacArthur is mentor to all of them, who has even authored a terrible book titled, HARD TO BELIEVE, in which he says...
"The life we live, not the words we speak, determines our eternal destiny."
SOURCE: Dr. John MacArthur; Hard to Believe, pg. 93.
I am appalled and want to rip my hair out (what's left of it) when I see pastors praising and following Dr. John MacArthur. I mean, I heard a Baptist pastor repeatedly quote John MacArthur and praise MacArthur as “that great man of God” in a video I saw. I actually wrote to the pastor and warned him about MacArthur, but he doesn't agree with me. John MacArthur is a staunch Calvinist who believes that you must persevere in righteous living all your days if you want to be saved. It's time for born-again, blood-washed, Baptists to stop praising and quoting Lutherans (Martin Luther), Calvinists (John Calvin and John MacArthur), Church of Christ (Max Lucado), Charismatic (Pat Robertson) and listening to the music of Roman Catholics (Michael W. Smith). It's insane what is allowed to enter into our churches today.
Now I understand why Bible prophets tore off their clothes and covered themselves in the dust of the earth in anger and disbelief over the wickedness they saw. That's the way we would all react as well to all the filth, violence and sexual immorality today if we hadn't been DESENSITIZED by the TV. I don't watch TV. I stopped years ago. I hate being indoctrinated, which is exactly what is going on through TV. I don't care who you are, everyone tends to gravitate toward the worst things on TV in the privacy of their home. The Devil is coming right into people's homes via the TV with every form of temptation and wickedness imaginable (Romans 1:32). It's all on purpose to destroy the home.
Albeit, just because a preacher uses the word “Lord” while presenting the gospel is not Lordship Salvation. Most preachers don't know any better and have been saying “Lord and Savior” for ages. Back 50 years ago you didn't have to be so careful with your words as a preacher does today. In today's world, you have to be VERY careful with the choice of words that you use, because Satan is trying to confuse everyone by redefining words.
Jesus is every believer's Master, but many don't obey Him. Luke 6:46, “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” Jesus is speaking to His disciples here (Luke 6:20). Many Christians follow the Lord from afar off as did Peter, ashamed to let their light shine for Christ. Howbeit, they are still saved and secure in the everlasting arms of the Father. Deuteronomy 33:27, “The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.” Amen! What a beautiful Scripture!
If you are saved, Jesus is already your Lord. 2nd Peter 3:18, “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.”
The demonic New International Version (NIV) changed Romans 10:9 from “the Lord Jesus” to read “Jesus is Lord.” Thus, according to the corrupt NIV you cannot be saved unless you make Jesus your Lord by stating, “Jesus is Lord!” That is a false gospel. Please read...
Proponents of the Lordship Salvation heresy have perverted the Scriptures, teaching that a sinner must amend their sinful ways, make a commitment and surrender their complete will to Christ. Moody Bible Institute invites heretic John MacArthur every year to speak at their annual Founder's Week for Christian leaders. So I natural became concerned and curious if MacArthur's dangerous teachings had infected Moody ministries too. Sadly, it is true. I found this statement on their gospel presentation page...
...If you have just made a commitment to Christ, please let us know. We'd like to send you Bible study materials to help you grow in your faith. Simply complete the form below to receive these materials." [emphasis added]
SOURCE: Knowing Christ, The Next Step; http://www.moodyministries.net/crp_FormGeneral.aspx?ekfrm=1246Harry Ironside faithfully pastored the Moody Memorial Church for many years in the 1930's and 1940's, and he refuted the false idea that a person must make a commitment to be saved.
Proponents of the Lordship Salvation heresy have perverted the Scriptures, teaching that a sinner must surrender their complete will to Christ as did Saul (later to become the Apostle Paul) in Acts 9:6, saying... “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” Albeit, it is wrong to use Saul's conversion as the benchmark for every sinner who gets saved. It is unbiblical to do so. Saul's wicked persecution against the Church, intense theological indoctrination as a Pharisee, and zealous overwhelming drive all contributed to his reaction at the time he was saved. Saul was a go-getter!
The Holy Spirit had been convicting Saul's heart for a long time (Acts 9:5). Saul's conversion experience was remarkably spectacular, which is far from the norm. Most people who get saved do so quietly, without any commotion or emotional response. Some do, but most don't. It is unbiblical to compare one person to another and expect the same from everyone. If you come as a sinner and believe the gospel... you are saved! That is the simplicity which is in Christ (2nd Corinthians 11:3-4).
Philippians 2:9-11, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
CHRIST IS LORD of all! If you are saved, then He is your Master. You ought to obey Him. We should all obey Him!!! But this is not required to be saved. Eternal life is a free gift given to guilty sinners who receive Jesus, believing that he is the Christ Who died, was buried and rose again.
Jesus is “supreme in authority,” the Godhead incarnate, the Son of God... the I AM (John 8:58). Please understand that declaring “Jesus is Lord” is not how to be saved. The NIV perverts Romans 10:9 horribly. The King James Bible says to confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ. I heard an ignorant preacher interpret this to mean telling others about Christ; but that's not what this Verse means. What if a person was mute and couldn't talk? Romans 10:10 plainly teaches, “for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness”... THAT'S SALVATION!!!
The phrase “confession is made” in Romans 10:10 is the Greek word homologeo meaning “to assent, that is, covenant, to acknowledge.” Thus, with our mouth we simply confirm what has happened in our heart. The emphasis of Romans 10:9 is upon believing in the heart. Mere confession with one's mouth of “Lord, Lord” is not sufficient to save, as we clearly learn in Matthew 7:21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
The will of the Father must be done, which we learn in John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” Where do we see the Son? Where else?... in the Scriptures of course... John 5:39, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” We see Christ, the Son of God, in the Scriptures. If we believe on Him then we have eternal life abiding in us. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
I feel so much like the Apostle Paul in Romans 10:1 who said, Brethren, My heart's desire and prayer is that ye might be saved!!! Oh, how I want to help others see the truth! It's been said that religion wants to fit us all with glasses, but the Lord wants to open our eyes with the truth! That is a good statement. Most people can see, yet are blind to reality. Most people can hear, yet are deaf to the truth. Most people today have closed their eyes to the truth...
Matthew 13:15-16, “For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.”
The big spiritual battle in our generation is over the meaning of individual words.
Homosexuals are redefining the word “abomination” in the Bible, saying that it doesn't mean sin. In Leviticus 20:13 concerning homosexuality, the word means “something morally disgusting.” The offence was punishable by death under Mosaic Law as given BY GOD. To say that a crime punishable by death is not also a sin is insane. Welcome to 2012!
The word “wicked” has been redefined by the entertainment industry these days to mean “something cool, good or well-liked.” You'll heard phrases like “wicked cool” used by youth today. The Bible is the original source of the important word “wicked,” which means “morally bad or wrong.” By redefining such words, what words remain to describe the awfulness of sin?
Satan Has Redefined the Word “Blood” to Mean 'Death'
John MacArthur has been often accused of trampling the blood of Jesus underfoot (and rightfully so, because he denies that Jesus entered into Heaven BY HIS OWN BLOOD as Hebrews 9:12 teaches). MacArthur's lame response is that he loves the blood of Jesus and thinks the Lord's blood is important; BUT only in that it symbolizes the death of Christ on the cross. In all of MacArthur's commentaries about the blood, he teaches that blood means death. Do you see how Satan redefines words to corrupt the truth and deceive people.
According to MacArthur, it was merely the pouring out of the blood that bought our redemption and had absolutely nothing to do with the liquid blood of Jesus itself. Hence, MacArthur believes that Jesus' physical blood soaked into the ground at Calvary and stayed there. The Bible exposes Macarthurism as a liar in Hebrews 9:12,24 which you can read more about in this article, The Importance of the Blood and the The Blood Applied in Heaven. It's the blood of Jesus that cleanses our sins away!!! John MacArthur is a false prophet who tramples under foot the physical blood of Christ.
It is not wrong to use the phrase “Savior and Lord” in the gospel. We read the phrases in Romans 10:9 and Acts 16:30-31 says... “the Lord Jesus” or the “Lord Jesus Christ.” Jesus becomes our Lord the moment we receive Him as our Savior, and we ought to obey Him since He gave His life and blood for us (1st Corinthians 6:20). However, God does NOT require a person to do anything to be saved, but to freely receive the gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.
Satan Has Redefined the Word “Repentance” to Mean 'a change of lifestyle'Satan never gives up. If the Devil can't take away your Bible, then he'll offer you a “new and improved” version that's been butchered and corrupted. If the Devil can't take away your Bible or trick you into swapping out your faithful King James Bible for an imposter version, then he'll try to mislead you by redefining the meaning of words. That's the core issue of Lordship Salvation, that is, Satan has redefined the word “repentance” to mean “a changed lifestyle” instead of “a change of mind” as the Greek teaches in the New Testament.
The French philosopher Voltaire, an unbeliever who destroyed the faith of many people, boasted that within 100 years of his death, the Bible would disappear from the face of the earth. Well, Voltaire died in 1728, but the Bible lives on today! The irony of history is that 50 years after Voltaire's death, the Geneva Bible Society moved into his former home and used his printing presses to print thousands of Bibles.
I expose those false prophets who cross a clear cut line, that is, when they ADD any requirement to simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. If you want to add the word “Lord” to the gospel presentation, that is fine, so long as you don't misinterpret it's true meaning. You don't make Jesus Lord, He is Lord! Everyone must personally decide whether or not to receive Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God (Who died, was buried and rose again three days later). In John 8:24 Jesus warned...
John 8:24, "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins."
Italics in the Precious King James Bible
I love the King James Bible and I'll tell you a big reason why. The 52 men who translated the King James Bible italicized the words they added which were not in the original Hebrew, Chaldean or Greek. Why did they add words? Well, when translating from one language to another, sometimes there's no way to convey the original meaning without adding some words to clarify what was originally meant.
For example: In Psalm 14:1 we read, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.” If you look in a King James Bible, you'll see that the words There is are in italics, meaning they were added by the translators and don't exist in the originals. The translators were scholarly and honest enough to let us know exactly what they did, as to not mislead anyone, and to allow us to make the final determination of what was originally meant. So what Psalm 14:1 says in the Hebrew is “The fool hath said in his heart, no God.” That is quite a different meaning. The translators understood it to mean that a professed atheist is a fool (and atheists certainly are). Biblically, there's no such thing as an atheist, because nature itself testifies that there is a God (Romans 1:20). That's why God calls them fools.
Now let's look at John 8:24, which reads, “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” The pronoun he is in italics, which means the original says... FOR IF YE BELIEVE NOT THAT I AM, YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS. In verse 58 of John Chapter 8 Jesus professes to be I AM. I believe that John 8:24 is referring to Jesus as the I AM. If you don't believe that Jesus came as God in the flesh, you're not saved.
Unfortunately, Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron, Paul Washer and John MacArthur all say that to make Jesus your “Lord” means that you'll try really hard to stop sinning or else you cannot be saved. It's false theology. That's exactly what it is... FALSE THEOLOGY! You believe on the Lord to be saved; you don't make Him Lord.
Salvation is an invitation to freely receive eternal life based on God's love and promise in Christ Jesus; not a demand to give up anything. What kind of gift has strings attached?
What Happens to Christians Who Choose to Continue in Sin?
The Bible teaches that God saves the ungodly! (Romans 4:5). That means you and me friend. Jesus always healed people who believed and then AFTERWARDS said, go and sin no more. Jesus didn't ask them if they intended to stop sinning as a test of whether or not He would heal them. Jesus didn't ask the adulterous woman in John 8:1-11 if she was willing to stop committing adultery first. Jesus warned people that a worse thing would happen to them if they continued in sin (John 5:14); but He never told them that they'd lose their salvation or go to hell for it.
1st Corinthians 5:5 is solid evidence that even the vilest Christian who sins cannot lose their salvation, and just because a Christian man lives an adulterous life in continued sin does not mean that he was never saved. Paul Washer (who calls Christian fundamentals 'stupid') needs to ponder over 1st Corinthians 5:5 until he understand the grace of God in Christ Jesus. It was Jesus Christ who bore our burden of sin upon the cross; thus, salvation has absolutely NOTHING to do with how we live. 1st Peter 2:24, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
1st Corinthians 6:20, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” The Bible continually makes an appeal to those who have FREELY received the gift of eternal life, to present themselves a living sacrifice unto God (Romans 12:1-2). HOWEVER, those believers who refuse to glorify Christ and choose to continue in sin are STILL SAVED. That's why there's going to be a Judgment Seat of Christ where Christians give account for the GOOD AND THE BAD done in the flesh (2nd Corinthians 5:9-11).
It could be that some people never were saved to begin with, but ONLY GOD knows who is or is not saved (apart from the direct testimony of their mouth indicating otherwise). I'm sick of Lordship Salvationists corrupting the gospel as an attempt to force people to live righteously. Eternal life is a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23)... freely offered (Ephesians 2:8-9) and freely received (Revelation 22:17). It cannot be obtained any other way (Romans 11:6). Which means that Lordship Salvation is a road to damnation, because it's based in works.
A changed life is the FRUIT of genuine repentance; and not a part of the ROOT of saving-faith! Lordship Salvationists mix the FRUIT with the ROOT and thus teach a false gospel of self-righteousness. That's the core issue! Leave the ROOT of faith in Christ alone!!! The FRUIT will come later, or else God will chastise His children if they continue in sin (Hebrews 12:6-8).
It's high time for Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron, Paul Washer and John MacArthur to stop trying to do the Holy Spirit's work of changing sinners. Let God be God!!! Eternal life is a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23), received freely without self-righteous works (Romans 4:5-6). There is no fear of going to Hell (no condemnation) to those who believe on Jesus Christ, no matter how sinful their life may continue to be. Eternal life is A GIFT! A gift is given and received UNCONDITIONALLY!
Galatians 2:21, “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”
Catholics are Sincere (Like Lordship Salvationists), but are All Hellbound
Demonic religious cults and Satan's false prophets are deceitful, subtle and slick. Satan knows that the best place to hide a lie is between two truths, making it difficult to expose. I'm not saying that any of the names of the men I've mentioned are insincere. Oh they are indeed sincere, no doubt about that. But they are sincerely wrong on salvation! (Proverb 14:12; 16:25). And if you're wrong on salvation, then you're going to be wrong on everything else too, because you're not saved.
Is it hard to believe that John MacArthur, Kirk Cameron, Paul Washer and Ray Comfort are not saved? I mean, how can they be saved if they're adding works to grace? They deny doing so, just as Seventh Day Adventists deny it, but their teachings call them liars. I'm not trying to attack anyone, nor do I have an agenda. I am simply defending the gospel that these men are perverting. Galatians 1:7, “...but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.”
There are some wonderful Roman Catholics who would do anything for you, loving as anybody you'd ever meet, and they know every story in the Bible, and they love god in their religion as much as anybody; but, they are trusting the Confessional Booth and the Sacraments to save them. I deliberately used a lowercase “g” because Roman Catholics have a warped concept of Who God really is. In Catholicism, Mary is highly exalted in Heaven and on earth.
Catholics pervert the Bible and teach that when Jesus said to John at the cross, “Behold thy mother,” that Christ was making Mary every Christian's mother. They teach that Catholics should pray to Mother Mary (the cursed Virgin) because Mary (being Jesus' Mother) will sweet talk her son or make Him do what she demands. Catholicism is a sick joke! This is the spiritually deformed, retarded religious teachings of Catholicism. Their own Douay version of the Bible condemns them all to Hell. Roman Catholics do not know the God of the Bible!!!
They are headed for the Lake of Fire forever (Mark 7:6-13; Revelation20:15). Oh, why don't professed Christians cry aloud against the religious prostitute of Roman Catholicism. God hates Roman Catholicism!!! Yet, Christ died for all men, including Catholics, because He loves them dear. I have often received letters from sincere ignorant people telling me that hatred is not the way to reach lost souls for Christ. May I say, if you are a Christian and don't hate sin, evil, lies, arrogance, falsehood and injustice, then you're not right with God.
Psalm 97:10 says that if you love the Lord, then hate evil like God does! God hates wickedness more than anyone!!! Yet God loves unconditionally more than anyone (which is why Luke 6:35 says that God is kind to evil and unthankful ingrates). That's love my friend. God puts up with this sorry wicked nation of pleasure-seekers, ingrates, liars, vow breakers, deceivers, murderers, adulterers and idolaters!!! Our day of reckoning as a nation is coming. If judgment begin at the house of God, what shall be the end of them which believe not the gospel of God? (1st Peter 4:17).
So many preachers today are turning because of the love of money, compromising, straddling-the-fence on the issues. Thank God that Jesus was willing to die for the truth (and He did)...
John 18:37, “...To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth...” —Jesus Christ
There's A Fine Line Between Saved and Unsaved
John MacArthur has openly stated that it's not the words we speak, BUT THE LIFE WE LIVE, that determines our salvation. MacArthur is unsaved! Folks, that's exactly what the demonic Seventh Day Adventist cult teaches! Kirk Cameron sells John MacArthur's Study Bible on his website. They're all working together! Pat Robertson promotes Kirk Cameron on his website, a known member of the occult. Pat Robertson promotes New Age on his CBN ministry's website!!! Pat Robertson doesn't have enough spiritual discernment to see that these new Agers are of the Devil? Yet he refers Christian leaders to counsel with them if they have problems. America has gone to Hell!!!
God deliver us from Hollywood preachers! I'd love to see just one of them take a stand. I'd love to see Ray Comfort go public against the Catholic Church and admit that the Pope is of the Devil. I'd fall out of my chair if Kirk Cameron would admit public that Seventh Day Adventism is Satanic. But they're all using corrupt Bibles themselves. They're all teaching a false gospel of works-salvation, where a person must decide to stop sinning as much as possible or they can't be saved. That is NOT Biblical repentance.
People ask, “Why don't you fight the taverns, the night clubs, the discos, homosexuals and those who openly serve Satan” I do, but the truth is that Satan already owns and controls those places. Satan is working to corrupt the church, working to infiltrate our Christian circles with false Bibles and false doctrines (like Lordship Salvation).
Lutherans are some wonderful people, but they errantly think that water baptism is the means by which one's is saved by faith. They strongly deny that water baptism is required for salvation; but teach that you cannot be saved if you don't place your faith in Christ by getting water baptized. What a hellish cult!
Lutheran ministers also think they can forgive church member's sins. Martin Luther worshipped Mary, taught the Immaculate Conception of Mary, and was a loser in God's eyes. Ignorant preachers today praise martin Luther because they only see what they want to see in his writings. The man was an unsaved heretic! Luther came out of the catholic Church, but the catholic Church never came out of him. You'd be surprised how many fools think that a person can be saved, even though they adhere to all sorts of heretical doctrines concerning salvation.
Billy Graham is a good example, who has openly stated that he believes Jesus Christ can still reside within Muslims who worship Allah or Jewish Judaizers who openly reject Jesus as the messiah. Islam and Judaism are Satanic false religions. None of them are saved!!! 1st John 2:22 openly calls followers of Islam and Judaism antichrists and liars!!! Billy Graham is of the Devil.
Only God knows how much I truly hate exposing Ray Comfort and his apostate buddies, sincerely; but someone needs to stand up and maintain the simplicity that is in Jesus Christ. Salvation is without works of self-righteousness. I don't care if you have no intentions of giving up one sin, God will save you if you come to Jesus on the basis that you are a dirty, rotten, hell-deserving sinner; and you believe (trust) on Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God. If you accept that Jesus died, was buried and rose again... then God will save any sinner who comes to Him in the name of Jesus to be saved (Acts 4:10-12; John 14:6). Do you believe? Christ died, that's history; Christ died for me, that's salvation!
The church is so worldly today that you cannot discern who's saved or unsaved apart from the clear testimony of their mouth (and even then you have to ask them if they think you have to stop living in sin to be saved). If they say, “yes,” they are NOT saved.
I remember once reading a book where Dr. Bob Jones Sr. said, “Whether you think you can lose yourself salvation or not, just make sure you keep it.” Folks, that is a false gospel of self-righteousness. You cannot keep your salvation by holy living. That's the Calvinist trash that the Salvation Army teaches. I wonder if Bob Jones Sr. was saved when I hear stuff like that. You'd be surprised who's saved and who's not saved. Jesus said many that are first shall be last, and the last shall be first. Eternity is going to be a total shock for most people. It will be very different than what you thought. God is not going to be the laidback, understanding, pacifist that liberals and ecumenical apostates portray Him as today. It will be Judgment Day and the tears will flow.
2nd Corinthians 5:11 warns us about the coming TERROR OF THE LORD for many Christian believers. According to Daniel 12:3, only those believers who turn many to righteousness (by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with lost sinners) shall shine as the brightness of the stars forever. The rest won't shine! Ok, now you can go back to your football game on TV.
Is John MacArthur a Seventh Day Adventist?
Again, a preacher is not teaching Lordship Salvation just because he mentions the word “Lord” while presenting the gospel. Please understand that. I'm preaching against the garbage theology of John MacArthur which says...
"Salvation isn't the result of an intellectual exercise. It comes from a life lived in obedience and service to Christ as revealed in the Scripture; it's the fruit of actions, not intentions. There's no room for passive spectators: words without actions are empty and futile...The life we live, not the words we speak, determines our eternal destiny" (Hard to Believe, p. 93). [emphasis added]
Is John MacArthur a Seventh Day Adventist? As with Lordship Salvationists, SDA's deceitfully profess to believe in salvation by grace through faith; but then horribly contradict themselves in their writings . . .
Faith is not simply looking at a distant, historical Jesus. Rather, it is responding to His invitation to "follow me." That is how I become a disciple. It is by accepting the obligation to live a life of discipleship that faith becomes obedience. Surely this is what Mrs. White meant when she wrote that the faith that leads to salvation "is not a mere intellectual assent to the truth. . . . The only faith that will benefit us is that which embraces Him as a personal Saviour" (ibid., p. 347). "To have faith means to find and accept the gospel treasure, with all the obligations which it imposes" (Christ's Object Lessons, p. 112).

http://www.adventistbiblicalresearch.org/documents/Salvation%20by%20Faith.htmHeresy! Salvation is not “accepting the obligation to live a life of discipleship.” This negates the gift of God. Romans 4:5 plainly teaches, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” SDA's ignore and disregard Romans 4:5. Salvation is without works of self-righteousness. The man who believes on Christ is saved, because his faith is COUNTED for righteousness. I tell you plainly that Seventh-Day Adventism is straight out of the pits of Hell.
It's not hard to believe! To teach that salvation comes from a life lived in obedience and service to Christ sinfully boasts that salvation comes from something that man does (Ephesians 2:8-9). Whereas Roman Catholics say to DO GOOD WORKS to be saved; Calvinists and Lordship Salvationists say to NOT DO BAD WORKS to be saved. BOTH are false gospels centering around WORKS for salvation, but Romans 4:5 tell us that salvation is to him that WORKETH NOT. The Bible says that salvation is “not of yourselves... not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Slowly, little-by-little, America's churches are losing sight of what the gospel truly is. Let us never forget that 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 defines the gospel as the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you know that you are a sinner and believe the gospel apart from all self-righteous works, then you are saved my friend. it's that simple.
Revelation 22:17, "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."

Forgiveness for the Worst Sinner
“When you get saved, you get saved not because you deserve it, but because you simply let God save you and because you confess your own poor sinful state and your inability to save yourself.”

Galatians 1:9 and 2nd Corinthians 11:4, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed... For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
