Most
Americans today are living in denial. We have been disillusioned to
think that we can can live in sin, and still expect the blessings of God.
It is utter hypocrisy! All across America, sin is being tolerated, and
even promoted. In fact, many of our churches have joined ranks with
the Devil, and are promoting abortion and homosexuality. This is
tragic! How can we, as a nation, expect God to bless us when we
deliberately disobey His Word?
Pastor
Fred Phelps and his church congregation have drawn much attention in
America, by publicly displaying such signs as the one to the left. Other signs have included... Thank God for Dead Miners... Thank God for
Katrina... Thank God for Dead Soldiers, etc.
Now, I don't agree with Pastor Phelps methods, or his signs, but his underlying message is correct, i.e., America needs to be judged to bring us to our knees. We have become so arrogant in our sinful pride as a nation that we have even named one of our cities—SIN CITY. The debauchery of Mardi Gras is one of the most popular festivals in the United States.
Tragically, Americans can't seem to get enough of SIN CITY. Most Americans become absolutely enraged with contempt and hatred when they see Pastor Phelps' signs; BUT those same people don't get upset about abortion, homosexual parades, lesbianism, drunkenness, Sin City, Mardi Gras, witchcraft, pornography, gambling, the filth on TV, cursing in God's name, et cetera. We are a nation of hypocrites. We have NO right to get angry at Pastor Fred Phelps. Now I don't agree with Pastor Phelps' approach; but I'll side with him any day over the wicked people in America who think it's ok to commit homosexuality, murder their children, and get drunk on alcohol. Who's the real villain? America has woefully sinned against God.
Can
you imagine a wicked nation that
brutally
murderers tens-of-millions of it's own children? Such evil is
unthinkable! We're talking about America! We've become a culture of death. We are living a
BIG LIE in America to believe that we can snub our noses at God's Holy Word
and still be blessed as a nation. Have you ever stopped to realize
what we have legalized in America? ... pornography, prostitution,
rebellious wives, divorce, gambling, drunkenness, abortion, homosexuality,
gay-marriages, lesbianism, adultery, fornication, witchcraft, nudity,
pedophilia, psychics, Girls Gone Wild, and every
other form of SINFUL vile filth imaginable. Yet, in some
demented delusional fantasy of ours, we expect God to bless America?
Not in a million years!
We have lost our moral compass as a nation. We have been desensitized to sin by the Hellivision. Wrong is no longer called sin, but human error.

"Has it ever struck you, as it has me, that the world has tried desperately hard to rid itself of even the very mention of the word sin? It has almost entirely disappeared from the world's vocabulary. We can pick up our newspaper or magazine and read all the accounts of violence and atrocity and murder and dishonesty, but seldom are these things called "sin." Writers talk about crime and violence and death and murder and immorality, but the word SIN is carefully avoided.
Now all of this become very significant, for we believe it to be an attempt, consciously or unconsciously, to get rid of the idea of sin. But sin is still sin, and until there is a revival of preaching against sin in all of its awfulness, as a filthy damning rebellion against God, which it is, there cannot be a revival, but the world will continue getting worse and more rotten and more sinful than ever.
By the grace of God, we, therefore, shall lift our voice against sin, not merely as a human weakness, not merely as the mistakes of a race trying to climb upward by evolutionary process, but as that vicious, selfish, filthy thing which lies at the basis and root of all man's troubles and trials, and which is a rebellion against a thrice-holy God, which must result in the punishment of the sinner in an eternal Hell, unless it is taken care of by the blood atonement of the Son of God. That is why we preach on the subject of the blood, the only God-given remedy for sin."

I've yet to hear anyone in the newsmedia refer to the Virginia tech Killings as "sin." Why are they so afraid to use the word S-I-N? It's because "sin" is a Biblical term, and few people today want to acknowledge the God of the Bible. Most people want some form of god in their life, but it's not the God of the Bible. We are living a BIG LIE in America to think that we can live in unrepentant sin, while simultaneously seeking the blessings of God. It doesn't work that way folks!
The Bible states in Psalm 33:12, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD..." The Lord is Jesus Christ (Isaiah 43:11, Luke 2:11). I've heard President George W. Bush say repeatedly that America welcomes people of ALL FAITHS. Well, that's very kind of us, but the Bible specifically says... Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD! Allah is a false god. Buddha is a false god. The Catholic Mary is a false god. Freemasonry's Great Architect is a false god. The light of New Age is a false god. Humanism's god of self is a false god. Jesus Christ is Almighty God! President Bush has also stated often that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. Nothing could be further from the truth. Mr. Bush is not saved. Christianity and Islam are diametrically opposed to each other. There can be no harmony. We are living a BIG LIE to think that we can worship all sorts of pagan gods and still maintain God's hand of blessing upon our nation. No sir!
America is headed for utter destruction! We cannot continue to live high-on-the-hog, while exploiting the poor in third-world nations, borrowing trillions of dollars from the monstrous Federal Reserve Bank (thieves), and living like there's no tomorrow. We are headed for national bankruptcy. You can't borrow your way out of debt. Our sins are finding us out as a nation. Our dollar is losing it's value (30% since the year 2,000). China is fast becoming the world's richest nation, and is accumulating much gold. American's have already lost nearly all of their manufacturing jobs. We are passing around fiat (worthless) money in an economy with little intrinsic value. This BIG LIE will eventually come to an end. We have lived beyond our means far too long, and judgment day is coming.
Morally, economically, educationally, judicially, environmentally--we are destroying ourselves. As homosexuals continue to become politicians and judges, Christians are facing the increasing threat of anti-hate speech legislation and prosecution. Already, laws have been passed which prohibit convicted abortion protesters from filing for bankruptcy to escape hefty fines. Americans want to commit their immoral acts, and prosecute anyone who speaks out against them. This is how sinfully stubborn America has become. Woe unto America! We have spit in God's face by disobeying the Word of God.
We are living a BIG LIE to think that God is going to bless our disobedience. We are condemned of ourselves—by our own words, by our own actions, and by our own laws which contradict God's Word. This is tragic! How can we, as a nation, expect God to bless us when we deliberately disobey His Word?
