“And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.” —Genesis 9:21-23
This is an important passage of Scripture which plainly teaches that public
nudity is a sin.
But first I'd like to begin by mentioning the evils of booze. Noah wouldn't
have been naked if he hadn't got drunk, and he wouldn't have got drunk if he
hadn't drank alcohol. Noah went from being the captain of his ship to a
drunken sailor. I hate booze for all the lives it has destroyed! Evangelist
Billy Sunday said, “Beer and alcohol are alright in their place, but their
place is in Hell.” Noah
and his son had a falling out over the incident, which Noah caused by
drinking alcohol. Alcohol
ruins families. It was the alcohol that Lot brought with him out of Sodom
that led to incest with his two daughters and conceived two heathen races;
namely, the Moabites (Genesis 19:37) and the Ammonites (Genesis 19:38).
Booze causes people to go out of their mind, get naked and commit sexual
immorality. Only a fool defends the vice of booze!
The Bible says Noah got drunk. There is theological debate over what Ham did to his father that caused his father afterwards to curse him (Genesis 9:22,25). Some Bible students believe that Ham committed a sexual act with his father, but I think that is highly out-of-the-ordinary. I think it is much more plausible that Ham was self-righteous and judged his father, as if to say, “Look at my father the hypocrite! Look at the preacher, now drunk and naked!” Ham could have simply covered his father, but he wanted to make sure that his brothers also saw their father's nakedness. That's what a self-righteous hypocrite does, that is, goes to show one's sins to others! That's what gossip is... “Look here everybody at this sinner! Look at my drunken father! Look Shem and Japheth, dad is a drunk... the so-called preacher!!!” The fact that Noah afterward blessed Shem and Japheth for taking precautions to avoid seeing their father's shame, evidences what Ham's sin was. Ham paraded his father's sins. Romans 2:1 warns against condemning others.
Furthermore, the Bible says that Noah was in his own tent. So what was Ham doing bringing Noah's dirty-laundry outside the tent? Ham should have just walked out and not have mentioned what he saw. Instead he went to find his two brothers because he wanted them to see their father in a shameful drunken and naked condition.
Upon hearing that their father was drunken and naked, Shem and Japheth took precautions to conceal the matter, walking backwards to avoid seeing their father in a shameful manner that would stay in their minds for the rest of their lives. Thus, they didn't look upon their father's nakedness, and Noah (although incapacitated) was sober enough to know what was going on. Noah afterwards blessed his two sons for honoring him. Ham acted shamefully. Ham should have just covered his father's nakedness and concealed the matter. Proverb 10:12, “Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.”
Many children are harsh against their parents and I believe Ham was condemning his father. Why did not Ham cover his father's nakedness? Why did he go tell his brothers that his father was drunk and naked? The Bible says that Shem and Japheth took a garment and walked backwards to avoid seeing their father's nakedness, then covered him with a garment. This is a powerful Scripture passage which shows the importance of clothing and the horrible sin of nakedness.
Again, the fact that Noah afterward blessed Shem and Japheth for taking precautions to avoid seeing their father's shame, I think clearly evidences what Ham's sin was. Ham paraded his father's sins in his own self-righteousness. The Bible teaches in the Ten Commandments for children to honor their parents. Children have an unfair advantage over their parents, because children grow up seeing all of their parent's marriage arguments, faults and sins; but children move out when they grow older and parents don't see what goes on in their children's marriages, lives and homes. Thus, parents will generally appear to be the biggest sinners in a family. Ham was being harsh on his father, wanting his brothers to see their father in a drunken and naked condition.
There are a bunch of Ham's running around the world today, inviting everyone they can find to come see the sins of the righteous man like Noah. If Ham could have sold tickets, he probably would have. Come one, come all, come see my drunken father without his clothes on!!! Ham's descendants have lived on and today are known as the newsmedia, destroying people's lives for profits. If Noah were alive today, Ham would have called the newsmedia and submitted photos of his father's naked body to the local newspaper, and the headlines would read... PREACHER FOUND DRUNK AND NAKED BY SON! That is exactly what Ham did. Ham went and got his brothers, wanting them to come see their preacher father drunk and naked. Admirably, Noah's other two sons didn't want to see their father in such a shameful state.
The Bible says that Noah was a preacher of
righteousness. 2nd Peter 2:5, “And spared not the old world, but saved
Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood
upon the world of the ungodly.” God's best and brightest were all
sinful men and women. Mankind has a tendency to rebel against authority,
whether it be parents, government or God. Ham was self-righteous, which
everyone is at times. May we all declare war in our Christian life against
all forms of self-righteousness, for all have sinned (Romans 3:23; James
2:10). Ham was a sinner just like his father, but he needed to learn it
the hard way. Ham had to live the rest of his life with the reproach and
shame of what he did to his father. Those who condemn others will face the
harshest judgments of God, who warned men to get the beam out of their own
eye before trying to remove the toothpick from their neighbor's eye (Matthew
7:3-5).
A Proper Attitude and Response Toward Nakedness
Upon hearing from Ham that their father was laying drunk and naked in his tent, Shem and Japheth took a garment and walked BACKWARDS that Bible says, to avoid seeing their father's nakedness and to cloth their father's body. This Biblical passage of Scripture is incredibly applicable to our girl's gone wild society in which we live in America. Shem and Japheth teach every Christian how to respond to the nakedness of others... DON'T LOOK! If you know there is going to be nudity, don't look! Ham came upon his father and chose to look; but worse, he went to invite his brothers to look as well. Pornography is a horrible sin! No one should ever invite anyone to look at nudity. Hollywood is synonymous with nakedness and shame...

In the blockbuster film I-ROBOT starring Will Smith, Smith appears butt-naked standing in the shower. The evils of nakedness are present in most Hollywood movies, deliberately so, to corrupt the good morals of Americans. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sandra Bullock, and thousands more have all appeared completely naked in popular movies.
Feminism has indoctrinated women to mentally think, behave and act like decisive, rugged and tough men. Hence, we live in a unisex society today where the lines have been horribly blurred between femininity and masculinity. To the same degree that our nation is turning feminist, to that same degree nakedness has become prevalent.
Noah's sons knew that nakedness is a sin, except between a husband and a wife. Adults, teens and children ought to wear clothes. It is a horrible evil and a sad shame that Americans think nudity is acceptable. It is part of the degenerate American culture of nudity, drunkenness, abortion, lesbianism, feminism and heathendom. America, get right with God!!! Every believer should take precautions to prevent seeing the nakedness of others, just like Shem and Japheth took appropriate measures not to see their father's nakedness. Public nakedness is a sin, even between family members.
When Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they immediately became ashamed of their nakedness and went to hide, making clothes to cover their nakedness. This is further evidence that nakedness is a sin. God clothed Adam and Eve with animal skins, killing an innocent animal as representative of the Lamb of God Who would one day die upon the cross and shed His innocent blood to pay for the sins of guilty humanity. Thank God, Jesus Christ came to this earth 2,000 years ago, was crucified, and paid our sin debt with His literal blood (Hebrews 9:12,22-24; 1st Peter 1:18-19; Revelation 1:5).
Leviticus 19:29, “Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.”
Nakedness Makes People Calloused Toward Morality
Our culture has become decadent and irresponsible, sexually depraved and careless toward the sacredness of the human body. This is the adverse consequence of decades of murderous abortions, which dehumanizes the value of human life, and subconsciously tuning our entire nation into a bunch of mental eugenicists. People are tolerant of death, torture and cruelty toward others, just so long as it doesn't affect their selfish life.
That's why evil Globalists who have hi-jacked our government (operating via The Council On Foreign Relations) have exploited America's youth in the military as paid mercenaries to murder over 1,500,000 innocent Iraqis. Weren't we just supposed to remove Saddam Hussein from power? Who's kidding who? The banking cartel are behind the Military Industrial Complex (the criminal relationship between the White House, Pentagon and Wall Street), who are using America's military might to steal Iraq's natural resources and takeover their county's government to control the Middle East. All the saber-rattling and, “They're going to get you!,” hype is making tons of money for the banksters. Iran will be invaded eventually, but it's hard to tell when. This could go on for years or they could nuke Iran today.
2012 is going to be a wild year, put your seatbelt on!!! I expect a massive terrorist attack, escalation toward world war 3, economic implosion and riots in the U.S., and all hell is going to be released. It's just a gut feeling, because everything that I see happening in our nation and world is pointing toward such events. We haven't seen anything yet. The Police State is going to be fearful, brutal and cruel.
As Americans continue to get naked, fornicate,
have abortions, commit homosexuality, indulge in drunkenness and party wild
in shameful sin; so does the moral conscious of our society as a whole
plummet into darkness. May we all walk backwards toward nakedness and place
a garment over the naked, refusing to view nudity. It is a matter of faith
in the God of the Bible (Who is the only true God). Choose ye this day whom
ye will serve... as for me and my house, we will serve THE LORD (Joshua
24:15).
The Evils of Nakedness
There has been much talk in the news recently about a famous Penn State college football coach who has been accused of sexually abusing several young boys. The coach has maintained his innocence, but admits to foolishly showering NAKED with several young boys. This case alone shows what's wrong with public nakedness. One thing often leads to another and public nudity is asking for trouble. Americans are deceived to think that males and females can walk around immodestly dressed without consequences.
The Bible teaches that it's best to stay as far away from sin as possible, which is why Jesus equated lust with adultery (Matthew 5:28). James 1:14-16 plainly teach what is wrong with public nakedness, for it is the root cause of sexual immorality...
James 1:14-16, “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren.”
It all begins with lust. If you aren't in the presence of other naked people, then you cannot be drawn away by lust. it's not rocket-science!
It is unscriptural for men to shower naked around other men, let alone in the presence of young boys. This Scripture passage makes this clear. It is not good for men to see each other naked, as evidenced by the pederast homosexual problem. The Romans were infamous for pederasts (men having sex with boys). Socrates, the famous Greek philosopher, was a pederast homosexual.
There is nothing manly about men disrespecting one another by walking around naked in the shower room. It is proper and right for men to show respect for the body, and toward their fellow mankind, by clothing the body. It is more than coincidence that initiates into Luciferian occult groups are required to perform acts of homosexuality as part of their initiation rights. The purpose for this is to debase each other, removing all bastions of decency and reservation between one another. In all sexual relations, even if with a prostitute for a few minutes, a soul-tie is formed between the two people (whether male or female) involved in the act. This is one of the spiritual dangers of sexual immorality, which undermines one's entire soul's health. Proverb 6:32, “But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.”
I heard an internet radio commercial today advertising the product, “AGELESS MALE,” guaranteed to boost testosterone for men by 61%. Then the advertiser said, “Get back in the game!” That's not why I wrote this article, but the timing was perfect for this article, because it evidences the sinful and irresponsible attitude of society today toward sexual relations. Get back in the game??? Sadly, sex is a game to many people!!! This is the horrible consequence of America's sexually-indecent television programming, promiscuous sitcoms, perverted Late Night comedy shows and TV in general.
I don't watch TV because it is too evil. So when I do occasionally see a TV show on someone else's TV in a hotel or at a restaurant, I am absolutely shocked and angered by what I see and hear. If you watch TV all-the-time, you won't see just how evil it is, because you are sinking into the abyss of wickedness with the hellivision. I guarantee you that if you turn off your television for 6-months that you'll be absolutely shell-shocked when you turn it back on. I hate TV!
It is common practice in health clubs, YMCA's and locker-rooms across America for men to shower naked in the presence of other men, and to walk around naked and let it all hang out. It is uncouth, tasteless, lacking of respect for each other and unscriptural. The same is true of women's locker-rooms. Historically, sports and public nudity have always been synonymous. The Greeks were famous for sports and infamous for nudity.
Genesis 9:21-27 teach us several important life-changing and moral lessons. We see that alcoholic beverages are spiritually dangerous, linked to nakedness and sin. Noah sinned by getting drunk and led his son to sin by doing so. Don't think that Noah didn't think about that either. Noah had to live with the division created between him and his son because of booze. Alcohol brought shame upon Noah. Noah had to live from that day forward knowing that Ham saw him naked and drunk. Although Noah knew he was forgiven in Christ, he caused permanent division between he and his son, Ham.
We also see that Ham sinfully paraded his father's sins, instead of faithfully concealing the matter. America's history books, Wikipedia and newspapers are filled with what husbands and wives have hypocritically said about each other during and after a divorce. The next time you hear a woman talking about how evil her husband is ask her how she obtained perfection. The Bible warns against condemning anyone. James 4:12, “There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?”
By the way, I hate Wikipedia. I've noticed that celebrity profiles (like George Clooney) are locked, but gospel preacher's profiles are open for every snake, rat and God-hating trash to slander and serve roast preacher. Wikipedia is a sewer of American society and Jimmy Wales will give account to God for helping spread malicious gossip. Wikipedia is a weapon. It's easy for some worm who never built a hot-dog stand to throw rocks at a faithful preacher who gave his life to others in the Lord for 50-years, helping literally millions of people in so many ways and changing a nation for God.
