As webmaster of Jesus-is-Savior.com, I receive lots of hate mail. And that's to be expected, for Jesus said in John 15:19, "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."
I am hated by the sinful world—Christ rejecters, witches, homosexuals, abortionists, feminists, heretics, etc.
But sadly, most of my hate mail doesn't come from the unsaved, it comes from professed "Christians" who are defensive of their Christian Rock-n-Roll. Call me what you will, I will expose the vile filth of religious Rock-n-Roll until the Lord takes me home. Notice, I said "Religious Rock"; and not, "Christian Rock" because there is NO such thing.
There is NOTHING "Christian" about Devilish Rock music! There ain't no such animal as Christian Rock. All Rock music is of the Devil, which is where it came from. Before so-called Christian Rock ever came on the scene, Rock music was already decades into the running for the Devil.
In a ChristianityToday.com article titled "Meteoric Rise" by Dave Urbanski, KUTLESS band member, James Mead, states...
"We've felt very comforted, as if the Lord was saying, "I know it's hard to believe, but I will take care of all of it. Don't doubt any of the miracles that are going to happen." So it is amazing to see how fast it's grown, but we just felt our calling is to be as accessible as possible, reach mainstream audiences, and be bold with our lyrics. That is our fulfilling of the Great Commission." (emphasis added)

You've got to be kidding me? For guitarist James Mead to claim that he is fulfilling the great commission through HEAVY METAL music is a lie of the Devil. Do you think God is pleased by a professed "Christian" band, who's members dress in black, look like punks, wearing earrings, pierce their lips, display Pentagram tattoos in concert, scream and act crazy while singing heavy metal music, and don't even present the Gospel of Christ on their website? No Sir!
The CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) gang all have certain things in common: They ALL look worldly, they ALL sing worldly, they ALL fail to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and they ALL fellowship with the unsaved world. Something is very wrong, for the Word of God teaches in 2nd Timothy 3:12 "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." The Christians in the Book of Acts were getting people saved. As a result, Stephen was stoned in Acts Chapter 7. James was beheaded in Acts Chapter 12. Peter was imprisoned and almost executed in Acts 12. Paul was almost lynched in Acts 21. You see, they were teaching the Truth of God's Word, and the Truth makes people angry. James Mead, and all the other CCM artists, don't offend anyone with their milquetoast lyrics. "Bold with our lyrics"? Please! For a so-called "Christian band," KUTLESS sings lyrics that are so obscure and worldly that there's no way you can classify them as "Christian." Here's the words to their smash hit, Draw Me Close...

This is a common deception that
Satan uses in Christian Rock-n-Roll, he inspires the writers to produce lyrics
that could easily be interpreted as referring to a boyfriend or girlfriend.
KUTLESS did not originally write the above lyrics, Carpenter did; but
they sing and promote them nevertheless. Someone actually wrote me to
argue that the "Y" in "Your" was capitalized (thus supposedly addressing
God). Please! The people hearing the music don't know that.
CCM music is deliberately shallow and wishy-washy, as to not drive away
their worldly fans. This is also why they won't present the Gospel on
their websites. It's all about money and worldly success.
KUTLESS Betrays Christ by Befriending the World
James 4:4 warns, "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." Although KUTLESS seems to praise God in some of their songs, one must remember that, Judas, one of Christ's own Apostles, gave Him a kiss of betrayal. Judas was of the world; yet superficially serving Christ. KUTLESS' music is nothing less than a kiss of betrayal of Jesus Christ. Anyone with a brain the size of a mouse KNOWS that heavy metal music is of the Devil. The following is a quote from chapter 16 of the book, Escape Babylon's Demons: Bible Prophecy for the United States of America...
"Kutless was the best selling new Christian hard rock artist of 2002; a feat accomplished in just six months due to a mid-year record release. Three number one R&R Rock singles. One top 5 CHR single that unexpectedly became the longest charting song in the history of the R&R CHR chart. Kutless played 220 shows their first year to almost 200,000 people.
What is Kutless selling in the name of Christian music? The 2002 release Kutless consists of 13 hard rock songs with just 1 song mentioning Jesus by name. This hard rock band maintains a public display of evangelical Christianity having bible study/prayer and maintaining a friendship with Dr. James Dobson’s son, Ryan. On the other hand, Kutless members employ spray on pentagram tattoos in their stage dress. Lead vocalist Jon Micah Sumrall replicates the gripping hard rock vocal style of Creed’s Steve Stapp. On stage they have been described as acting like crazy rock ‘n’ rollers employing grandiose behavior such as cross-stage guitar tossing.
1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 teaches us to perform a quality control operation on the things that we accept into our lives in order that our entire being be sanctified or separated from profane things and be consecrated to God:
- prove all things: scrutinize or examine something before accepting it as genuinely excellent and beneficial
- hold fast that which is good: after examining something, retain it only if it’s excellent in character and well suited for it’s intended purpose
abstain from all appearance of evil: refrain from using or retaining anything which actually is or even appears to be evil in any way, shape or form. In applying this truth and examining the professed Christian music of the band Kutless, the evidence presented reveals that the church needs to refrain from listening to this hard rocking band of professing Christians claiming to play Christian music. Kutless maintains an appearance of evil employing occult pentagram tattoos and fashioning it’s sound and stage shows after the world’s hard rock bands. In spite of their off-stage acts of Christian devotion, this band acts like the world on stage. Although this band may be sincere, the teaching of 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 exhorts the church to abstain from all appearance of evil and not to conform ourselves to this world. In addition, although Kutless’ music is said to be comparatively more “Christian” than many professing contemporary rock Christian bands, the lyrics and instrumental music of Kutless don’t pass the Colossians 3:16/Ephesians 5:19 Biblical test for acceptable Christian music... -SOURCE
Clearly, KUTLESS is straight from Satan. There is a spirit at work within the band, but it is NOT the Holy Spirit of God.

In an interview by Kim Jones at Christianmusic.about.com, she states concerning the band KUTLESS...
"You know, people look up to you guys. Your faces are the ones we see on the CD covers, your music is what we hear on the radio. In general, fans tend to idolize their entertainment heroes." (emphasis added)
Did you read that? Jones says, "fans tend to idolize their entertainment heroes." First of all, people should not look up to some band that plays rock music, they should look up to God and His Word; not some so-called "Christian" band. John the Baptist in John 3:30 said, "He (Jesus) must increase, but I must decrease." This should be the attitude of every believer. It should be our goal to uplift Jesus and the Word of God, for Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1-3,14; Revelation 19:13). In stark contrast, let me once again quote Kim Jones concerning KUTLESS...

Who's kidding who? The fans aren't coming to Jesus Christ for salvation, they're coming to the Devil's Rock-n-Roll. If KUTLESS didn't employ heavy metal, they'd have no following whatsoever. But they do have a following...the world! James 4:4 clearly warns that being a friend (or "assisting) the world (Satan's children) is to be God's enemy. God HATES heavy metal music!!! Don't you tell me for one moment that God would be pleased by a bunch of punks dressed in black, gyrating in His holy presence, with pierced lips and spiked hair, throwing guitars across stage, jamming on their power chords at volumes that can compete with a 747 taking off. This is NOT of God.
It is plain to see that the musicians themselves are receiving all the glory and praise (which is proven by Miss Jones statement above); and not the Lord Jesus Christ. This is sinful. Just as Judas seemed to have good intentions, so do the Christian rockers; but they are betraying the Son of God by allowing Satan's spirit of demonic music to control them. ALL rock-n-roll music is inspired by Satan! David Bowie said...
