NKJV Translators Admit They Changed the Authorized KJV
"It is clear that this revision required MORE than the dropping of 'eth' endings, removing 'thee's' and 'thou's,' and updating obsolete words."
-quoted from notes in the New King James Version
1982 edition, page 1235
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Look at this obsolete word that they changed: "Lieutenant" in Ezra 8:36 of the KJV. What did they change it to? "Satraps". Is satraps easier for you to understand than lieutenant? Had you ever heard of the word before? Most of us haven't. In my opinion, "satraps" is obsolete (if it ever was in popular use).
If the Lord wills, I will do a write-up on this counterfeit Bible called the New King James. It is just as New Age as the rest of the perversions coming down the pike. It removes 20,066 words from the authorized King James Bible and makes 100,000 word changes. Many of the changes are right in line with the NIV--the big money-maker whose blasphemies many are believing. An NIV article is in the works.
