What Is That In Thine Hand?
"And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod." —Exodus 4:2
God asked Moses, "...What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod". A rod? God empowered Moses through that rod to deliver Israel from the land of Egypt. Moses brought the plagues upon Egypt through that little rod. It was that rod that God used to supply water for Israel in the Wilderness. God can use whatever is in your hand friend to do mighty things for Him if you are yielded to Him. God does NOT need our money nor our talents, He needs our heart and obedience.
"Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?" —James 2:5
God has chosen the poor, the uneducated, the meek, the lowly of this earth rich in faith. The simply means that God works through the most unlikely sources. When Samuel came to choose a king amongst Jesse's sons, Jesse didn't even bring David. Jesse brought all his other sons, soldiers in Saul's army. David was just a young shepherd lad. After Samuel had bypassed all of Jesse's seven sons, he asked Jesse if there was anyone missing (1st Samuel 16:10-11). Sure enough, David was brought to Samuel and was chosen. God always looks for the little guy, the nobody. There are no "big-shots" in God's family, only those who think they are. I've known plenty of big-shot believers, but they were nothing more than me or you. So keep that in mind, God uses the weak, poor and ridiculed things of this world to accomplish His will...
"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." —2nd Corinthians 12:10
Many people erroneously think that they can impress God with their own self-righteousness and sacrifice. There are heathens all over this world who donate money to charities and do some good deeds (as well as evil), but they don't know God. I've noticed that godless organizations and businesses often like to do good deeds here and there to try to boost their image. It may work on humans, but not on God. God is not impressed with your good deeds (Isaiah 64:6; Romans 3:20). We must surrender our wills to the Master, to do His good pleasure. After all, we were created by God to please God (Revelation 4:11).
What is that in thine hand?
God can use whatever little or seemingly nothing you may have, IF you'll simply surrender it unconditionally to His causes. What are you doing for Jesus' sake and the gospels? There is much to do my friend, for the end of the world as we know it is drawing closer each day. There is an EXACT number of days until time shall be no more, and time shall be no more (Revelation 10:6). Kind of scary to think about isn't it? No more time! You see, God created time and placed mankind into it, but God lives in eternity where there is NO time. We cannot comprehend such things because we live in time where everything MUST have a beginning and an end. God has NO beginning and NO end. You won't be able to figure it out, it's not meant for us to understand. We must trust God by putting our 100% faith in His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour. This is the only way to heaven (John 14:6; Romans 10:13). END

LORD, hate evil..."
