Burger King
has been telling the masses for decades... "Have it your way." But the
Bible says we should do it God's way! Many people today cherish
Frank Sinatra's song, My Way. Well, Mr. Sinatra did it his
own way and is suffering in the fires of Hellfire this moment.
Frank Sinatra mocked Billy Sunday in his
blasphemous song, Chicago, singing the repeated phrase... “The town Billy
Sunday couldn’t shut down.” Well, God's going to shut Chicago down,
along with Sin City Las Vegas, Hollyweird,
Sayville,
Brattleboro, and all
the other hellholes in America. We are a sinful nation, deserving the
fiery judgments of a divine God.
Yet, God is merciful, and slow to anger. 2nd Peter 3:9 states... "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God hates sin; but He loves people. Love is not compromise, as liberals and Modernists today would have us to believe. There is NO greater love than to tell someone the truth, at the risk of losing a friend, being rejected, or even persecuted. In John 8:45 Jesus said, "And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not." Well, the truth is that WE DESERVE HELL TODAY!
For decades people have been sold the lie by the McDonalds corporation... "You deserve a break today." Biblically, you deserve Hell today! We all deserve to burn in Hellfire for our sins. Society today is saturated with humanistic thinking and sinful pride. I saw a commercial on TV last week that started off by saying... "People are smart." I couldn't help but think about Isaiah 53:6, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." Humanism is a false religion--an insane form of thinking that invades the human mind, convincing it of it's superiority over God and His Word.
All through society, we are bombarded by advertisements telling us how wonderful we are, and how we "deserve" the best. No we don't, we deserve to be cast into the Lake of Fire. We are all rotten sinners, guilty, under the condemnation of God's Law. Our only hope is in the blood of Jesus Christ (John 14:6; Hebrews 9:12; 1st John 1:7). I saw another commercial recently, advertising Mercedes-Benz automobiles, where the drivers were singing love songs to their cars, and hugging them. It may seem cute to some people, but it is wicked idolatry in the eyes of God. It's no exaggeration to say that many people today IDOLIZE their cars. It's just plastic and metal folks! Some people think about their automobiles morning, noon, and night. It's a shame. Where does God fit into your life?
Americans are more worried about weeds growing on their front lawn, than they are about pleasing God. God deserves our best; yet, so many people have nothing for God except spare-time and leftovers. Could you imagine driving down the street, and hearing someone singing a commercial over the radio... You deserve Hell today? Or how about... Have it God's way, have it God's way? Why, people would be outraged! People would be demanding that the manager of the radio station be fired.
The Bible warned us that these apostate times would come... "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" (2nd Timothy 4:3). People today want to hear the milquetoast message of Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, and other imposters who exploit Christianity to get rich. Who today would dare endure a scathing sermon by the uncompromising Billy Sunday? How many people today would tolerate a preacher who exposed the evils and sinfulness of gambling, dancing, and booze!
America has deteriorated into a nation of sinful pride, to where people THINK God owes them. God doesn't owe us anything. We justly deserve to be punished in Hellfire for sinning against God. Who do we think we are. It hard to image that some young people today are actually challenging God. A recent video circulating on the internet titled, The Naked Truth, blasphemes God and attempts to discredit Christianity. Another blasphemer, who claims that God is only imaginary, has published a website at WhyWontGodHealAmputees.com. Let the heathen rage, God is still on His throne!
God is a Good God, and a Just God. Jesus was willing to be crucified for our sins, because He loves us (Romans 5:8; 1st John 3:16). Thank God, we don't have to go to Hell, because Jesus paid for our sins with His own LITERAL precious blood (1st Peter 1:18,19). Yes, we deserve to go to Hellfire; BUT, we don't have to go there.
